It looks like Flip or Flop isn’t sticking around after all. According to E!, the HGTV series is scheduled to end in 2017.
Earlier, we reported the home renovation show would continue despite the recent separation of married hosts Tarek and Christina El Moussa. The series is currently in its seventh season.
While the Moussas released a statement saying the show would continue, it seems this doesn’t mean the show will have several more seasons. An inside source to E! says the couple is contractually obligated to film more episodes in the new year and after that, Flip or Flop will end.
HGTV has not officially announced a cancellation. In a statement to E!, the network said production will continue on Flip or Flop as scheduled:
We admire and appreciate Tarek and Christina’s great work on Flip or Flop. When it comes to matters related to their own family, we respect their privacy and honor any decision that works best for them and their children. HGTV is currently airing episodes of Flip or Flop and the series will continue production as scheduled.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Flip or Flop? Are you sad to see the series end?
I love Flip or Flop. I watch lots of HGTV shows and have found, in my opinion, no other Flip/Fix it show comes close to the style, good taste and color selections of Christina and Tareq. I’m so sad to see their little family have trouble. Those two children are so adorable! If there is any way to save the show, please do it.
Love Flip or Flop! The Flip or Flop Vegas and Flip or Flop Atlanta are not in the same league. I will not watch either one. If Tarek and Christina can continue working together, it is still fun to watch – better when they were a couple. Still enjoy it. Keep it on.
Hard to watch them now, they don’t seem happy to be in the same space. And who wants to see another couple going down the tubes?
sad to see it end and maybe in the future they might back together.
My husband and I watch the show every week. Our opinion is the show should be renewed if the they can be amiable when filming each episode. The former couple pioneered the art of flipping houses to our viewing enjoyment.
One of my fave shows, please keep it on the air. Not impressed with Flip or Flop Vegas, it just does not have the class that Flip or Flop has!
I love this show, they are good at it. Don’t like Flip or Flop Vegas at all. You should think long and hard about not renewing their show. Think you will loose a lot of viewers for HGTV if they are not on.
Love flip or flop. Sorry to see it go.
This is not surprising. When you have the year this couple has had… you’re not going to keep working together in this type of arena for long. It’s HGTV two more flip’in and flop’in shows will pop up before you know it…
I hated that Flip or Flop is cancelled, do not care at all for Flip or Flop Vegas!
