For Life may not be dead after all. The series could be revived for a third season by IMDb TV after being cancelled by ABC. The existing two seasons are now available on the free streaming service and will continue for the next month, per Deadline.
At the end of that month, Sony Pictures Television (which produces the show) and IMDb TV will look at viewership and a third season could be ordered at that point. Contracts for the cast were scheduled to end today, but they have been extended by Sony to allow time for that decision to be made.
The following was said about the possibility of the ABC series being saved from cancellation:
“Given the stakes, For Life executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who has been a driving force behind the efforts to find a new home for the timely drama, is expected to lead a big social media effort involving prominent figures in the world of entertainment and beyond to get fans of the show and new viewers to tune in on the free platform.”

I hope it returns to regular T.V.! Great show, inspired by a true story, entertaining with important messages. Strong characters and plot. It’s refreshingly different from most of what’s on T.V.

Can’t believe the series was cancel. It was a very interesting show with great actors and actresses with a much need view of how the justice system works in most cases . Can’t keep the truth hidden always. I will never believe the rating was low.

Never watched the show. Dont care if its renewed or not.
Just curious why someone would weigh in on a show they have never watched. I would suggest you watch it and then give your input. This is a great show, based on a true story, with a superior cast portraying characters that easily draw in the viewers. If it can be saved, it absolutely should be!!

I will be watching (again) in July and would definitely watch Season 3. Please continue with another season (and more).
It’s a winning concept – shows that vindicate the wrongly accused and wrongly convicted. It’d be a plus if writers made attorneys and judges held liable for their dishonesty – like an equal sentence they served onto the accused, even if only on a fictional tv show. I’d watch that every week!
It’s good news to learn that the “For Life” series may be continued. I certainly hope so. It has an intriguing story line that is captivating, leaving the viewer wanting “more,” like the “Blacklist” series. I don’t understand why ABC dropped “For Life”in the first place. Bad decision on their part.
