What’s This TV Show About?
A surreal Amazon dark comedy, Forever stars Maya Rudolph, Fred Armisen, Catherine Keener, Noah Robbins, Kym Whitley, Sharon Omi, Julia Ormond, Obba Babatundé, Peter Weller, Charles Emmett, and Cooper J. Friedman. The story follows June (Rudolph) and Oscar (Armisen), a couple who have been married for 12 years. When the sameness of their lives gets to June, she suggests they take a ski trip, which changes everything and lands them in completely unfamiliar territory.
Forever has been cancelled so there won’t be a second season. Could it be revived someday? Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize viewership, it is difficult to predict whether Amazon will cancel or renewed Forever for season two. It’s a little surreal, and has the potential to develop a cult following, but despite the half-hour format, it is not as accessible as a sitcom. Whether that’s good or bad is a matter of taste, and I have no strong feeling on whether or not we’ll see a second season. For now, I’ll keep an eye on the trades and update this page with breaking developments. Subscribe for free Forever cancellation and renewal alerts.

I really really like this show, may even be love. I loved how I thought I had it figured out and then it would completely take me bu surprise with something completely unexpected. Please, please make a season 2- I promise to spread the word about how great this show is!!
I cannot speak highly enough about this show and its brilliance. The cast is spectacular. They can effortlessly relay even the deepests and most profound feelings with their unique, gorgeously subtle nuances. Their facial expressions, or a simple glint in their eyes, can pack more emotional punch than the awesome, refreshingly real dialogue. I will likely implode if there isn’t a follow-up season. It reignites the imagination and ellicits a stirring for the stagnant soul. Bravo!

I would love to see a second season. I was sorry to see the show end when it did because I wanted to follow their journey.
It also took me 2 episodes to get into Forever. But then I really enjoyed it. I’d like to see a season 2.
While i enjoyed the show and would like to see it continue, I have to admit the “blind” ending, where June and Oscar emerge to find something amazing that is not revealed, seems like a perfect finish for a show like this. Otherwise they have to keep making up fantasy worlds that always have reasons you want to stay, and some that make you will to leave, which will just water down everything that came before. I loved this show! I want more of it! So I hope there is a season two! I need to know where they ended up and what kase will do. Great show! Certainly didn’t expect it to be what it was about so that was a great surprise! Here’s to hoping for season two!!
Yes, please! I would love to watch season 2. The show is awesome—the characters are both so quirky and down to earth at the same time. I enjoy the honest look at a long-term relationship. I was happy to see the main characters each grow. And, I’m excited to see where their growth landed them. If “All roads lead to Oceanside”, and their choice there was the only obvious choice to make, what is next for the couple? I can’t wait!
