What’s This TV Show About?
A surreal Amazon dark comedy, Forever stars Maya Rudolph, Fred Armisen, Catherine Keener, Noah Robbins, Kym Whitley, Sharon Omi, Julia Ormond, Obba Babatundé, Peter Weller, Charles Emmett, and Cooper J. Friedman. The story follows June (Rudolph) and Oscar (Armisen), a couple who have been married for 12 years. When the sameness of their lives gets to June, she suggests they take a ski trip, which changes everything and lands them in completely unfamiliar territory.
Forever has been cancelled so there won’t be a second season. Could it be revived someday? Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize viewership, it is difficult to predict whether Amazon will cancel or renewed Forever for season two. It’s a little surreal, and has the potential to develop a cult following, but despite the half-hour format, it is not as accessible as a sitcom. Whether that’s good or bad is a matter of taste, and I have no strong feeling on whether or not we’ll see a second season. For now, I’ll keep an eye on the trades and update this page with breaking developments. Subscribe for free Forever cancellation and renewal alerts.

I loved this show and even more I love Fred Armisted from Protlandia…was glued to the TV for 2 nights watching Forever, now to find that it has been canceled.it’s was soo good! Whyyyyyyyyyy!?!?!
because they dont really care what we want just what makes them money,,i hate most that they cancel shows without a real end to the series,,,its my biggest pet peeve,,i watched this show when it aired and now again years later on CW Seed still pissed that it never really ended,,i am still of the opinion they should make a film with an ending to it,,its only right
I can’t believe this show was cancelled! It was so unique: part comedy, part mystery, part social critique. Sadly, this was a slow-burn show that just needed more time to develop to attract the high numbers. Even GOT and Breaking Bad weren’t hits right out of the gate, and look at their success stories. Hey Amazon! At least tell me where June and Oscar ended up!
PLEEEASE bring it back!!! I don’t even watch tv but I really loved this series for so many reasons. Every episode was fantastic. It was extremely disappointing to learn there was no season 2. Bring it back!!!

The show is very original..VERY ORIGINAL In some ways it’s less about June and Oscar’s relationship, but more about how middle Americans in the 21 Century live our lives in the suburban world we have created.
