TV show description:
A drama series set in New York City, God Friended Me revolves around a thoughtful and outspoken podcaster named Miles Finer (Hall). Miles is an atheist and that puts him at odds with his father, Reverend Arthur Finer (Morton), a beloved and longtime preacher at Harlem’s Trinity Church.
Miles’ life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from a user named “God”. He ignores and declines the request but it keeps coming back so, out of curiosity, he accepts and the mystery deepens as he digs deeper into his new friend’s account.
He’s led to Cara Bloom (Beane), an online journalist who’s been struggling with writer’s block. Intrigued by Miles’ story, Cara joins him in investigating friend suggestions from “God” and they end up helping others in need — while learning things about themselves.
Miles and Cara are aided by Ali Finer (Leslie), Miles’ supportive sister. She’s a doctoral psych student by day and a bartender by night. Also lending a hand is Rakesh Singh (Sharma), Miles’ best friend and a sometimes hacker who needs some help on the social side of his life.
Miles is convinced that the “God” account is an elaborate hoax and is devoted to uncovering the truth. In the meantime, he’s playing along and, in the process, seeing his life changed forever.

Miles is forced to examine his lack of faith more than ever before when the God Account sends him his sister, Ali, as a friend suggestion on the eve of her cancer surgery.

This is an absolute MUST see show for me every week!!! I dont understand why such a positive show of faith, hope and inspiration with a positive message would be canceled at a time when America and the world needs this message more than ever. ??????

In the VAST WASTELAND a show comes along that is beautifully written and cast. Our family has eagerly looked forward to Sunday nights, because of God Friended Me, and we are devastated by the decision to cancel.
In this day and age we need a show that has good as its basic premise. We have enough violence and stupidity to fill some very deep holes. Maybe if there was ever a consistent time instead of constant bumps by sports the ratings would be better. DON’T CANCEL IT.
This is the only show i watch on tv. I love the show. Please have a season 3. I appreciate no guns, no blood, no violence it makes the show so good to watch.

So disappointed of course what can you expect from the very liberal CBS they just can’t keep a good clean family program especially if its got christian themes. I’m so disgusted with them.
God Friended Me is such an awesome show I dont understand why its been cancelled. So what CBS lost a few and i mean only a few veiwers. As many bad things happening in the world right now you think TV would leave a meaningful TV show that this one is on. I am so disappointed in CBS right now. To bad because that show I am sure restored alot of ppls Faith in God because it did me.
