What’s This TV Show About?
An ABC medical drama, The Good Doctor stars Freddie Highmore, Antonia Thomas, Nicholas Gonzalez, Chuku Modu, Beau Garrett, Hill Harper, Tamlyn Tomita, Christina Chang, Fiona Gubelmann, Will Yun Lee, Paige Spara, and Richard Schiff. The series centers on Dr. Shaun Murphy (Highmore), a gifted young surgeon and savant on the autism spectrum. While his autism can hinder his ability to connect with others, working at the hospital with the guidance of his advocate, Dr. Aaron Glassman (Schiff), has helped Shaun expand his world and the mindsets of others.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Good Doctor averaged a 1.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.73 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 37% and 31%, respectively. Find out how The Good Doctor stacks up against other ABC TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will ABC cancel or renew The Good Doctor for season three? I am concerned about the ratings but, unless they totally tank, I think The Good Doctor will be renewed. ABC needs new drama series and this one seems ripe to replace How to Get Away with Murder as their low-rated, quality program. For now, I believe it will be renewed. I especially love the good doctor as it is a great inspiring series with regards to what a very intellegent person can accomplish regardless of their personal challenges. With guidance and support there is no mountain too high. There should be more series like this . Freddie Highmore is such a great actor. Looking forward to the next season.

Why isn’t the Good Doctor on?
I would have been extremely disappointed if The Good Doctor had not been renewed for Season 3. It is the best TV series I have ever seen.
Please, please, bring back my favorite most loved tv show The Good Doctor! I look forward every week to watch this show close to my heart!

Absolutely love it! My grandson has made tremendous achievements and continues to do so with the inspiration of his parents and shows like this . We should all inspire and encourage everyone to do do their best, no matter their disabilities!
The Good Doctor is a great show, please don’t cancel the show. Just like Army Wives was a great show and you canceled that one. Tv stations want to fill up airtime with reality shows instead of shows that have good stories. You really need to bring Army wives back as well.
