What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network, The Good Doctor stars Freddie Highmore, Antonia Thomas, Nicholas Gonzalez, Chuku Modu, Beau Garrett, Hill Harper, Tamlyn Tomita, and Richard Schiff. The medical drama comes from from House creator David Shore and Lost vet Daniel Dae Kim and is based on a South Korean series of the same name.
The Good Doctor centers on Dr. Shaun Murphy (Highmore), a new surgical resident with autism and savant syndrome. His incredible memory and keen ability to perceive spatial relations inform Shaun’s gifted comprehension of his patients. Meanwhile, his autism can hinder his ability to communicate with others. With only the help of his advocate, Dr. Aaron Glassman (Schiff), Shaun must challenge the skepticism and prejudices of the hospital’s board and medical staff, in order to do his job and save lives.

Telly’s Take
Will The Good Doctor be cancelled or renewed for season two on ABC? It premiered with very healthy ratings, was picked up for a full season, and a thriving drama is just what the doctor ordered for the Alphabet Network. As long as the ratings don’t drop that much, my gut says it will easily score a renewal. For now, I will keep an eye on the Nielsens and will update this page with breaking developments, as well as any change in this show’s prognosis. It’s a cable television show, OF COURSE there’s going to be corny dialogue/characters! That being said, The Good Doctor is the least corny and most original show on major broadcasting networks (ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS).
It deserves to be renewed. The theme song is hype, I love it. I like all of the doctors.
The chick who lives in the building is my least fave. But I love the premise, I dug the OG Korean version, and just yeah.

Why are they even thinking of cancelling this show,,,it is brilliant and such great acting from Freddie,,it cannot be easy to play a part like that….and it does teach us to realize what disabled people go through,,please do NOT cancel
