Beth, Ruby, and Annie won’t be back for the 2021-22 season. NBC has cancelled the Good Girls series so there won’t be a fifth year of the low-rated show.
A drama series, Good Girls stars Christina Hendricks, Retta, Mae Whitman, Reno Wilson, Manny Montana, Lidya Jewett, Isaiah Stannard, and Matthew Lillard. The TV series centers on three suburban moms who’ve struggled to get by. They hold up the local Fine & Frugal supermarket, but their take far exceeds their expectations and they find themselves in deep trouble with the local crime boss. In season four, the stakes get higher as the Secret Service closes in on the women’s counterfeit ring. When we last saw Beth, she was struggling to carve out her own criminal path separate from Rio, using her husband’s spa company, Boland Bubbles, as a front. Ruby seemed to have salvaged her marriage after a rocky road, but only time will tell if her hidden secrets implode. Annie is focusing on inner love and healing as she takes the journey to rebuild independence.
Airing on primarily on Sunday nights, the fourth season of Good Girls averages a 0.34 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.47 million viewers in the live+same day ratings. Compared to season three, that’s down by 20% in the demo and down by 20% in viewership (including DVR playback through 3:00 AM). While these numbers don’t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel. There can be other economic factors involved in a show’s fate, but typically the higher-rated series are renewed and the lower-rated ones are cancelled.
Season four resumed last night, after a month’s break, with a pair of episodes. There are five installments remaining and a two-hour finale is expected to air on July 22nd.
There had been some discussion about moving Good Girls to a streaming service but it apparently didn’t work financially.

I love this show!! It seems any show that’s any good is just canceled vs. moving it to a better day/time. Yet, so much horrible television remains. This show is witty, fun and quick. The acting is the best. Can’t believe there is one episode left. Shame on you for canceling this!
Like the show , hopefully you wont leave a cliffhanger this time. Not going to bother to watch any new shows from here as we all know you cancel any shows that had any potential. Really dont like cliffhangers. At least Rebel had a good ending of season one. That way if it does get canceled not left pissed off from it not returning. But Hey” networks ABC , CBS & NBC “Keep canceling / keep loosing viewers… Your own fault.
Iam disappointed Good Girls is cancelled Its just like Hollywood to cancell a good tv show It happens all the time Sad that whomever does the cancellations doesn’t seem to watch tv to know whats good and whats not Oh must be uneducated on the public wants Sad to see another good one goes

I am so disappointed. I love this show and that is saying alot because I hate television now. TV is too socio-political, race baiting, bullcrap. I watch
these shows for entertainment. Good Girls was fun, entertaining and completely unique. Shame on NBC
You are soooo…. right “mdzone5b”, if NBC is going to do this to Good Girls, and just put more krap on TV instead, there’s no reason to keep my Comcast / X-Fooey Service anymore; I hope NBC has a Good few More season’s of it; If I can see many story line option’s for it, why can’t they; And if they would include one who DVR (or Steam) Good Girls, maybe they’d see how popular it really is.

I like the show! I hope they give them a good ending. I hate when they just end a show with a finally like there is a future or a next season. Yet they already announced the cancellation. Let’s let the ladies take home a big win!
Please don’t cancel this great show! There are other terrible shows that should go but not this gem. Hopefully another network will pick it up. A class act and I’m sad to lose it
