Would you have watched another season of Grace and Frankie? Recently, co-creator Marta Kauffman spoke with the Los Angeles Times about ending the Netflix TV show after seven seasons.
The comedy series stars Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda as unlikely friends who come together after their husbands announce they’re gay and in love. The cast also includes Martin Sheen, Sam Waterston, Brooklyn Decker, and June Diane Raphael.
In the interview, Kauffman revealed it wasn’t the creators’ idea to end Grace and Frankie:
“It was a combination of things. Netflix isn’t doing long-term series anymore. And we are really lucky that we got the seventh season. I think when we started, we imagined seven seasons. But, really, this is the kind of decision that comes from Netflix. But as sad as I am that it’s ending, there’s something that makes sense about it.”
Season six of Grace and Frankie is now streaming on Netflix.
What do you think? Do you watch Grace and Frankie? Do you want more seasons?
Seems that all the great shows end at 7th season Netflix’s decision makers on programming have made horrible decision by ending Grace and Frankie after 7th season. Hope and pray another network picks up Grace and Frankie to continues the series as long as actors are willing. Grace and Frankie viewership crosses all age levels.. The only reason I have Netflix is Because of the show Grace and Frankie. #CancelGraceAndFrankieCancelNetflix
#KeepGraceAndFrankieKeep Netflix
Please keep this show running! I look so forward to watching these exceptional actors. I agree…in this crazy world, this show is such comic relief and…it resonates with a wave of people over 55! For me …if Netflix cancels, it simply gives me another reason to think about cancelling our Netflix.
What are they thinking!! This show isn’t cookie-cutter! It has the BEST actors! Each Season carries another fresh and interesting storyline! According to the US Census Bureau in 1964 Baby Boomers made up 40% of the population! That’s a target audience PLUS their children because who doesn’t want to laugh at their parents!
Frankie and Grace is fabulous. Would watch it forever. Much better than anything else on now. We need more of this. Excellent writing and terrific cast. They’re so good together.
I love Grace and Frankie, it reminds me of true friendship, they argue and then make up. They’re so funny and always get into trouble but somehow work they’re way out of it. It’s an inspiring show about love and friendship
Love that show…please keep it going!
I would watch that show for MANY MORE SEASONS – are they nuts where are you ever going to find a cast like that – at least do I more pleeeeeeease
I love this show and would like to see more episodes per season. It’ fun, quirky, and unconventional, never boring and always true to each character. There’s no fake or canned laughter, just believable, funny situations that real people get into.
Love that I can remember lilly on Dan Rowen and Dick Martins ( laugh in) with Goldie Hawn what a gift that Jane Fonda has an outstanding chemistry coming off as the 80 year old blonde bomb shell / I have fallen madly in love with all of the characters faults ! We want to see the actors fall down and get up only to become closer than before LOVE STORES HAVE NO BOUNDERYS I speak for all 60 plus year old we love guys and we will miss you At least Lilly remembers One reinggy dingy two ringgy dingy… Read more »
I just love the show. Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are exceptional together. Each episode rings a few laughs and there is so much needed today and the ugly world that we are living in
I could watch this show until the four stars all passed away. The problem is that for the networks it is just easier to do a one & done project & keep moving on. However, many of us like to watch character development & become involved in their stories & situations. It seems criminal to break up this wonderful cast.
Please give us more than (7)seven seasons of grace and frankie. Love this show. How about (10)ten seasons? Please don’t stop at 7 seasons. Thank you.
Would definitely watch another season or more.
I would love to see more of this show
The second one of your fabs thinks “They’re getting another season?” It means your series has run its course. I adored Burn Notice, but when they found out who burned him, those extra seasons became pointless.
