TV show description:
This TV series revolves around a guy who’s surrounded by women. Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) is a man’s man who doesn’t understand what’s happened to the world. These days, women run for president, serve in our military, and provide for their family while men sit in tanning beds and get their cuticles shaped. As the marketing director of a sporting goods store called Outdoor Man, Mike dedicates his life to reminding the world what makes men men. With the help of his co-workers Ed and Kyle, Mike uses his Outdoor Man video log to vent his aggression.
Mike’s dedicated wife is Vanessa (Nancy Travis). She’s a caring mother, grandmother, and geologist who doesn’t let her husband get away with much. After taking a career break to raise her three daughters, Vanessa returned to work and quickly received a promotion. That leaves less time for her family and for taking care of Mike, much to his chagrin.
Kristin Baxter (Alexandra Krosney, then Amanda Fuller) is an independent 20-year-old single mother who’s constantly fighting the urge to take a nap. Between chasing around her baby son, Boyd, and working at a diner, she rarely has a moment to herself. Kristin recently moved back in with her family, which has allowed her the luxury of free child care and a few moments of much-needed rest.
Mandy Baxter (Molly Ephraim then Molly McCook) is Mike and Vanessa’s self-centered 17-year-old daughter. She loves spending her father’s income and also uses her free time to updating her website, Mandyland, and going out for mani-pedis with her boyfriend. She can’t tell you who won the civil war, but she already knows who will win on The Bachelorette this season. Constantly connected, Mandy is always texting, blogging, and vlogging.
Eve Baxter (Kaitlyn Dever) is the youngest, toughest, and most athletic Baxter daughter. She isn’t interested in clothes, make-up, or what her hair looks like and would rather play full-contact football with the Broncos. Not surprisingly, she’s Mike’s little buddy.
Mike is employed by Ed Alzate (Hector Elizondo), the thick-skinned and opinionated owner of Outdoor Man. An old-school guy, he essentially wrote the book on how to live a man’s life. With his years of experience, Ed coaches Mike on how to handle his problems both at work and at home.
Working under Mike is Kyle, a charming, naive young man who’s desperately in need of a dominant male role model. At the store, he mainly performs mindless and humiliating tasks that no one else will do. His long blond hair and submissive personality may not make him first pick on the football field, but he holds his own at Outdoor Man.
Episode #194 — Keep on Truckin
After Mike’s beloved truck is stolen, just as he completes his 10-year renovation on it, the Baxter family and friends gather together for an emotional goodbye.
First aired: May 20, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Last Man Standing TV show? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a 10th season?

I think you all are doing this. Because you all can’t handle all truth to some of the support they give about the their inputs on how they feel about VOTES and inputs on how they feel it’s the only show how most family’s feel, but they don’t go too far. And you can sit down with your family and not too many great shows are like that. I pray that some other stations will pickup this great show.
This show had been on the bubble for a while and the network just pulled the plug because there are other and better shows that need the airtime. It had NOTHING to do with “social engineering” or “politics” or any of the other nonsense posted here. It was a BUSINESS decision nothing else. The ratings were going down and the network couldn’t sell the ad time to justify the production costs.
I just got hooked on reruns as I took early retirement…im in my mid 50 and enjoy the show immensely….excellent entertainment and political satire…especially for the biggest generation who grew up knowing Tool Time and its political parody. Cancelling the show is a shame and confirmation to alot of us that the networks , like ABC , have become part of the social engineering to deliberately dumb down America.,, Shame on you guys.
Social engineering? Where do you get this nonsense? The show was cancelled because either low ratings or it was costing too much and the network couldn’t sell ad time to make it profitable. Networks (other than Fake News) don’t put shows on just to manipulate people. It’s called capitalism. Or are you a commie?
Great show and the best writers on TV. Tim says what every father would often really like to say. Love the fact the show often sticks it to the political hypocrites.
Just too funny.
This was 1 of the best series on today , For ABC to cancel it for political reasons was not right! Tim Allen has always catered to the family oriented shows and movies! Shame on ABC for canceling a fantastic show, I know when I do the next Neilson ratings survey ABC shows won’t be on there as “liked” Just add another up rating for another channel that isn’t politically biased !!!!
Top 5 greatest shows ever. Tim Allen never has poor performances. Only reason LMS didn’t run ten + years is politics.
Yea, Donald Trump had it cancelled because it got better ratings than he did.
Great great show! Please bring it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a great show, with great characters, family interaction and witty humor! This show will rock on in reruns for years proving it should NEVER be canceled this soon!!!! Do not know what would lead to this ! Very disappointed!!! One of the best shows EVER
NO, it should have NEVER EVER BEEN CANCELLED!! If ABC wanted Friday night wide open for something else fine!! But #LastManStanding is the best sitcom that they ever made. It’s a family show that doesn’t have any sex or violence which is constantly present in today’s sitcom. And they didn’t leave it at the end of a season, they left it at a end. That’s just wrong!!! Why didn’t they at least give us a couple of weeks to say goodbye to them? That’s just not right…..
Love the show!!!
We love Last Man Standing. We’re watching reruns but we’ve never watched the show until after it was cancelled. I g’suess the Hollywood Libs couldn’t take the family’s politics.
Tim Allen is hilarious and has so much talent as an actor. Cancelling because he’s a “high end” star is ridiculous. He’s an amazing star, that why he gets the big bucks. This show was fantastic……don’t let it Die….I beg you. With so many crazy crime shows on TV, its nice to get a funny break from all that drama.
Last Man Standing is one of the best shows on. I watch all the time now because I record it. I can not believe that ABC took it off the air. We need more shows like this ON air not OFF !! ABC is not the same network. Too Bad
Hollywood & politics should not mix
Please, PLEASE bring Last Man Standing back. I miss it so much I’ve been watching reruns!
