TV show description:
This TV series revolves around a guy who’s surrounded by women. Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) is a man’s man who doesn’t understand what’s happened to the world. These days, women run for president, serve in our military, and provide for their family while men sit in tanning beds and get their cuticles shaped. As the marketing director of a sporting goods store called Outdoor Man, Mike dedicates his life to reminding the world what makes men men. With the help of his co-workers Ed and Kyle, Mike uses his Outdoor Man video log to vent his aggression.
Mike’s dedicated wife is Vanessa (Nancy Travis). She’s a caring mother, grandmother, and geologist who doesn’t let her husband get away with much. After taking a career break to raise her three daughters, Vanessa returned to work and quickly received a promotion. That leaves less time for her family and for taking care of Mike, much to his chagrin.
Kristin Baxter (Alexandra Krosney, then Amanda Fuller) is an independent 20-year-old single mother who’s constantly fighting the urge to take a nap. Between chasing around her baby son, Boyd, and working at a diner, she rarely has a moment to herself. Kristin recently moved back in with her family, which has allowed her the luxury of free child care and a few moments of much-needed rest.
Mandy Baxter (Molly Ephraim then Molly McCook) is Mike and Vanessa’s self-centered 17-year-old daughter. She loves spending her father’s income and also uses her free time to updating her website, Mandyland, and going out for mani-pedis with her boyfriend. She can’t tell you who won the civil war, but she already knows who will win on The Bachelorette this season. Constantly connected, Mandy is always texting, blogging, and vlogging.
Eve Baxter (Kaitlyn Dever) is the youngest, toughest, and most athletic Baxter daughter. She isn’t interested in clothes, make-up, or what her hair looks like and would rather play full-contact football with the Broncos. Not surprisingly, she’s Mike’s little buddy.
Mike is employed by Ed Alzate (Hector Elizondo), the thick-skinned and opinionated owner of Outdoor Man. An old-school guy, he essentially wrote the book on how to live a man’s life. With his years of experience, Ed coaches Mike on how to handle his problems both at work and at home.
Working under Mike is Kyle, a charming, naive young man who’s desperately in need of a dominant male role model. At the store, he mainly performs mindless and humiliating tasks that no one else will do. His long blond hair and submissive personality may not make him first pick on the football field, but he holds his own at Outdoor Man.
Episode #194 — Keep on Truckin
After Mike’s beloved truck is stolen, just as he completes his 10-year renovation on it, the Baxter family and friends gather together for an emotional goodbye.
First aired: May 20, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Last Man Standing TV show? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a 10th season?

I love this show. I only started watching a year ago and I love it. I record all the shows I can find on reruns and have even bought the first four seasons on disk. I sure do wish some station, even if I had to pay extra to watch it, would pick it up for another season.
I’m very sad that ABC decided to let political correctness get in the way of a tremendously funny show. The chemistry between the actors was phenomenal and the storylines were so sweet and heartwarming. I guess it wasn’t edgy enough for ABC and they’d rather bring back an old, awful retread like Roseanne. SMH.
I’m really upset that this show has been cancelled. This show had excellent ratings and was ABC’s second successful comedy. I am really hoping that some other channel will pick it up for a series after the holidays
As my husband and I really enjoyed this show, and laughed at every episode. Please ABC, bring Last Man Standing back!!!
I am very disappointed to see that this show has been cancelled. It was fun and many times made me LOL. It was entertaining and spoofed current events without language and violence. Bring it Back !
I’m so sad, I love this show….they should have just moved it to a better night other than date night Friday
I was really saddened to find out they canceled Last Man Standing. Loved this show. watched it over and over on Netflix and now I fid out they are taking it off Netflix also. I wish they would reconsider canceling season 6 and make more shows. A lot of my friends are in total agreement with me.
Not surprised. It got really old listening to Tim spout off about Democrats/Liberals. Maybe he should have toned that down a bit or kept his personal politics off of a comedy TV show sitcom….hmmmm?
We loved the show and it was greatly appreciated for its family humor and positivity. We think it was a big mistake to cancel this show.
Best family comedy show on TV. Have quit watching ABC shows due to their stupid decision to cancel show. This was a show my family and even my grandchildren could enjoy and I did not have to worry about their young ears.
My husband and I LOVE THE SHOW! We are so very put out that it’s been cancelled. At least end the show PROPERLY! ABC has yet again, left the audience hanging! Boooooooo!!!!!!!
Am sorry to see this quality family comedy canceled. Not too many on TV these days that the whole family can watch. I am not a big comedy fan but I and my husband loved this one. Will miss It!!
It’s too bad this show was canceled. My husband & I loved it. It was good family humor that any age could watch. Not too many of them on TV these days. Will miss it greatly!
ABC really made a huge mistake by cancelling this show. One of a handful of well written comedy shows from the last several years. In a time of “reality” shows, we’re sick of the copycat themes and fake content. LMS is a very funny and wholesome family show – something that’s been missing from tv for a very long time (I thought ABC is a family station). We are all very sad about losing this series. We didn’t even get a proper finale. Please bring it back because we’re not done with the Baxter family!!
This was a clean wholesome show. LMS was the only comedy sitcom my 80 year mother would watch.
please bring this show back also. another one of my favorite shows to watch on Friday night. not to many real tv shows on television other than reality tv.
