TV show description:
This TV series revolves around a guy who’s surrounded by women. Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) is a man’s man who doesn’t understand what’s happened to the world. These days, women run for president, serve in our military, and provide for their family while men sit in tanning beds and get their cuticles shaped. As the marketing director of a sporting goods store called Outdoor Man, Mike dedicates his life to reminding the world what makes men men. With the help of his co-workers Ed and Kyle, Mike uses his Outdoor Man video log to vent his aggression.
Mike’s dedicated wife is Vanessa (Nancy Travis). She’s a caring mother, grandmother, and geologist who doesn’t let her husband get away with much. After taking a career break to raise her three daughters, Vanessa returned to work and quickly received a promotion. That leaves less time for her family and for taking care of Mike, much to his chagrin.
Kristin Baxter (Alexandra Krosney, then Amanda Fuller) is an independent 20-year-old single mother who’s constantly fighting the urge to take a nap. Between chasing around her baby son, Boyd, and working at a diner, she rarely has a moment to herself. Kristin recently moved back in with her family, which has allowed her the luxury of free child care and a few moments of much-needed rest.
Mandy Baxter (Molly Ephraim then Molly McCook) is Mike and Vanessa’s self-centered 17-year-old daughter. She loves spending her father’s income and also uses her free time to updating her website, Mandyland, and going out for mani-pedis with her boyfriend. She can’t tell you who won the civil war, but she already knows who will win on The Bachelorette this season. Constantly connected, Mandy is always texting, blogging, and vlogging.
Eve Baxter (Kaitlyn Dever) is the youngest, toughest, and most athletic Baxter daughter. She isn’t interested in clothes, make-up, or what her hair looks like and would rather play full-contact football with the Broncos. Not surprisingly, she’s Mike’s little buddy.
Mike is employed by Ed Alzate (Hector Elizondo), the thick-skinned and opinionated owner of Outdoor Man. An old-school guy, he essentially wrote the book on how to live a man’s life. With his years of experience, Ed coaches Mike on how to handle his problems both at work and at home.
Working under Mike is Kyle, a charming, naive young man who’s desperately in need of a dominant male role model. At the store, he mainly performs mindless and humiliating tasks that no one else will do. His long blond hair and submissive personality may not make him first pick on the football field, but he holds his own at Outdoor Man.
Episode #194 — Keep on Truckin
After Mike’s beloved truck is stolen, just as he completes his 10-year renovation on it, the Baxter family and friends gather together for an emotional goodbye.
First aired: May 20, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Last Man Standing TV show? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a 10th season?

Shame on you ABC for cancelling Last Man Standing….you all need to rethink what you have done and bring it back.
I hope Netflix picks it up. The only show I could watch with my kids!
Our family looked forward to this show on Friday nights. How sad that a good, edgy, funny, wholesome, family show has been canceled. There are so many brainless series or worse violent shows that limit viewers choices to watch for pure enjoyment. Please reconsider and bring back this wonderful show!!!!!!!!
I find this SO disturbing! This is one of THE BEST shows on television. I will no longer support ABC if this is truly cancelled.
There is no way this should be cancelled. Strong ratings, and the best family comedy on TV. Very disappointed in this decision.
I agree with Janette! Every time a good show is aired and it has substance and quality with good humor, it gets cancelled. Very disappointing!
I show with no ethics, foul language, and nasty adult content seems to run on year after year after year. Augghhhhh!! And reality shows!??? Really?? That are stupid.
I love Tim Allen and the whole family! You all did a great job. I looked forward to every show and season.
This was the only good show that ABC has. It was the only one worth watching. No more ABC ya!
why would they cancel their 2nd most popular show, that why I hate to get into ABC show it one of the few shows I liked I know a show that challenges the world and you mind while being funny is a bad thing
Last Man Standing is one of the best shows on tv. Way to go ABC. I hope another channel picks it up.
This is ridiculous. Not that my comments, or any of the others, will make a difference, but this was a great show and I’m very disappointed to see that it’s cancelled. Bring back wholesome TV that exemplify good family values.
Truly the best show on TV today. Tim Allen and cast are spot on with their portrayals of a strong but bewildered(by today’s beliefs and mores.)The fact that the Baxter family are openly Christian and not afraid to live it is the strength of the series. If there is a petition out there to save the show my family, friends, neighbors will be thrilled to sign it!!
To Tim Allen and Cast-thank you for the years of great tv and life lessons!!
How do you think cancelling the show is a good thing? Wholmesome tv gets tossed in the gutters . Are you insane ? Just one more reason to stop watching channel 6 and ABC affiliates. Keep bring crappy shows that have no integrity, first no daily number, then Mike and Molly, and now this. I know why I stopped watching regular TV.
I agree with you. I actually stopped watching the shows all together. Cause they always wound up canceled. Not even thinking about bringing it back.
I am so sorry to see that this show has not been re-newed. I seriously hope that Tim has some plan in the future to feature on tv. This show and Tool Time were both intelligent and hilarious at the same time, and were really helpful to me in a very bad time.
Sorry to the whole cast, and I’ll realy miss you. One more reason to shut the cable off.
WAY TO GO ABC!! Take away the only decent show that ABC has to offer!!! This sure looks like a clear cut case of the left taking over!! I noticed the last season was too ‘politically correct” and you could tell from the 1st seasons that the writers were getting afraid of hurting some liberals feelings out there but that is no reason to stop this show. If that had anything to do with it they need to toughen up instead of being whiners!! I notice they resigned Blackish tho..no surprise there since they are clearly ‘anti Trump” in their… Read more »
LAST MAN STANDING SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CANCELLED. THE SHOW IS UNIQUE AND VERY FUNNY. I AM VERY SAD.
