The Legend of Korra is returning. CBR reports the Nickelodeon series is being made into a graphic novel trilogy.
A spin-off of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the animated show followed Avatar Korra (voiced by Janet Varney), a teenage girl with supernatural abilities who is responsible for maintaining peace and harmony in the world. The show last four seasons before ending in 2014.
From Dark Horse Comics, the Legends of Korra graphic novels will take place after the TV series and feature writing from the show’s co-creator, Michael DiMartino, and art by Irene Koh. The first part of the trilogy, titled Turf Wars, will be released in June 2017.
From DiMartino:
Turf Wars” will focus on “Korra and Asami’s relationship [revealed in the show’s final episode] as a new threat emerges. It’s kind of like the aftermath, dealing with the new portal in the city, and all the evacuees coming back to find their homes wiped out cause of the portal.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of The Legend of Korra? Are you excited about the graphic novels?
Tv series are more fun to watch rather then reading some comic book but I guess that alot of anime do get cancelled due to low profits or some other reason.
Ah who cares its just an anime.
