Life Below Zero returned for its 23rd season earlier this week, and reportedly, that will be its last. National Geographic has also cancelled the spin-offs of the long-running reality series — Life Below Zero: Next Generation, Life Below Zero: First Alaskans, and Life Below Zero: Port Protection Alaska.
According to Reality Blurred, cast members of the cancelled spin-off shows are now appearing on the final season of the original Life Below Zero series.
The 23rd season features longtime cast members Sue Aikens, Ricko DeWilde, and the Hailstone family, as well as Johnny Rolfe and the Roach family (Life Below Zero: Next Generation) and Gage and Avery Hoffman (Life Below Zero: First Alaskans).
While NatGeo has yet to announce the cancellations, people who work on the shows have confirmed that they’re over, and some cast members have posted about it.
Brittany Rowland of Life Below Zero: Next Generation wrote on her Facebook:
“National Geographic has decided to cancel Life Below Zero’s spin-off shows, including ours, Next Generation. Honestly, we don’t exactly understand why as NextGen has been wonderfully successful.”
It’s not yet known when the series finale of Life Below Zeo will air. The final season of Life Below Zero isn’t expected to land on Disney+ until March.

I love all the Life Below Zero shows. I record all the series so I don’t miss a single episode. Please, Please Please keep recording new shows. It gives me a chance to recenter with Nature during lifes daily battles. I can’t make a trip to a National Park every week. But I can watch Life Below Zero
It makes me very sad to hear about all the Life Below Zero shows ❣️I absolutely love all of them. I don’t understand why when they are so good and educational too. I wish they would change their minds ❣️
Disney always screws things up
Disney has ruined everything they have their fingers in, including their own. Unfortunately, the Disney of old is not the Disney of now. Now $$ is the goal, not entertainment for the people.
Will definitely miss all of them.

I’m so tired of these people taking off really good shows and putting on crap. They need to keep Life below zero all of them I watch all of them it’s just a shame when they have a good show and then they take it off

What is wrong with the person who made the decision to remove life below zero? I know you make money because we have to pay to watch it so obviously we want to watch the show. Put ut back on ive been wating for the new series forever now. You can get rid of second generation they are living like they sre in the city whats the point??
