Looks like Lucifer Morningstar isn’t quite a lucky devil any longer. His show’s ratings have fallen year after year and so, FOX has cancelled its Lucifer TV show. Sadly, fans of the supernatural crime drama won’t be seeing a fourth season this fall.
A FOX comedy-drama, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling. The supernatural procedural centers on Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis) who abandoned his throne, retired to Los Angeles, opened up a nightclub, and started helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (German) crack cases.
Lucifer: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of Lucifer is averaging a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.30 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 20% and down by 10%, respectively. While those declines aren’t huge, the series has seen dips in its ratings each season and the series could easily have been cancelled before. Apparently, the ratings dipped just a bit too low.
Out of the scripted FOX TV shows we’re tracking, Lucifer ranks 13th in terms of its demo performance and rises to 10th place in terms of average total audience size.
Lucifer showrunner Joe Henderson broke the bad news this afternoon.
So… yeah. #Lucifer has been cancelled. And it fucking HURTS. I loved this show so damn much and everyone put their heart and soul into it. Heartbreaking doesn't begin to describe.

The defacto series finale airs Monday, May 14th.

Lucifer was just the icing on the cake for me with this Fox bloodbath. They have literally canceled every reason for me to watch their network. I thought things could not get worse after hearing of the cancellation of great shows like: Last Man on Earth, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine?!?! Like come on!? What’s wrong with you guys. You’re axing GREAT shows, while subpar played out shows are getting revivals like Last man Standing(might as well be Home Improvement 2). What is wrong with FOX…do they have a policy to cancel great shows after 3 seasons! Lucifer is one of the best TVs I’ve watched in a long time. How the hell (excuse the pun!) do they calculate the ratings scores for shows when most people watch them either on Demand, DVR or whatever!!!! It looks like a lot of folks are in an uproar, so that must mean Lucifer has a tremendous following. I WILL NEVER WATCH ANOTHER SHOW ON FOX AGAIN IF THEY CANCEL Lucifer!!!! BIG MISTAKE!!!! I love this show! I couldn’t wait to watch it…. I cheered when Lucifer said that he realized that Chloe chose him and when Cain was killed. Hopefully another network will scoop it up… It can’t be over! Besides that, Lucifer is sexy!
First Sleepy Hollow now Lucifer! Huge mistake! It’s my fav show! I’m sick of Fox. Worst decision ever!
Fox is crazy if they let Lucifer go. That show is great! I hope someone else picks it up too, like Syfy. Hope FOX will regret cancellation!!!!

More than any other show on TV, LUCIFER is the one I can’t wait to see each week. Most shows I DVR and watch later, but this one… PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!

Okay, you’ve left us hanging at the best part, and now you’ve cancelled the show so we will never know how things turn out. The least you could have done was the up loose ends. That stinks! Renew!!!!!!!!

I absolutely love this show. The characters are fascinating. I want to know what happens next. Please extend it for another season.
