Looks like Lucifer Morningstar isn’t quite a lucky devil any longer. His show’s ratings have fallen year after year and so, FOX has cancelled its Lucifer TV show. Sadly, fans of the supernatural crime drama won’t be seeing a fourth season this fall.
A FOX comedy-drama, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling. The supernatural procedural centers on Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis) who abandoned his throne, retired to Los Angeles, opened up a nightclub, and started helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (German) crack cases.
Lucifer: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of Lucifer is averaging a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.30 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 20% and down by 10%, respectively. While those declines aren’t huge, the series has seen dips in its ratings each season and the series could easily have been cancelled before. Apparently, the ratings dipped just a bit too low.
Out of the scripted FOX TV shows we’re tracking, Lucifer ranks 13th in terms of its demo performance and rises to 10th place in terms of average total audience size.
Lucifer showrunner Joe Henderson broke the bad news this afternoon.
So… yeah. #Lucifer has been cancelled. And it fucking HURTS. I loved this show so damn much and everyone put their heart and soul into it. Heartbreaking doesn't begin to describe.

The defacto series finale airs Monday, May 14th.

How can you possibly renew a show like 911 that is stuff and has no heart and cancel Lucifer? Lucifer has heart and soul and excellent writers not to mention exceptional actors who make you care about the characters. Whoever made the decision to cancel Lucifer has no idea what the viewers want.
Don’t cancel. Disappointed in Fox for cancelling it, that was a bad decision. This is one of my favorite shows. Love all the characters. This show kept getting better and should never have been cancelled. Obviously Fox doesn’t care about it’s viewers if it doesn’t bring Lucifer back.
Don’t cancel. We need to know how Chloe reacts to seeing the “real” Lucifer!
Canceling Lucifer is a BIG mistake! This is like Firefly all over again! You people at the TV corporations looking at ratings on the wrong demographic! Everybody I know watches this show faithfully every week and LOVES it! In addition the show gets better and better as it goes on! I can see this show going on easily for 10 years or more!
I think that it is totally ludicrous if they’re canceling Lucifer! I make sure to watch this show no matter if I’m watching it streaming or on record and a lot of other people that I know feel the same way about the show! Please do not cancel the show! Lucifer is the one show I look forward to every single week!

Please keep Lucifer on!!!!! It is one of the funniest shows on TV. I have it set to record and just love the cast of Lucifer. I want to know what Chloe reaction is to seeing his devil face and what’s to come next. PLEASE , PLEASE , PLEASE keep it on !!!! I dont care about no dam football!! This show cheers me up! I am very disappointed about its cancellation!!

PLEASE DON’T CANCELL LUCIFER, I HAVE LOVED THE SHOW FROM THE FIRST EPISODE. ACTUALLY IT IS THE BEST SHOW ON FOX AND THE ONLY SHOW ON FOX THAT I WATCH. YOU REALLY NEED TO MAKE A FOURTH SEASON. DID NOT CARE FOR THE LAST EPISODE TOOK AWAY FROM WHAT THE SHOW WAS ABOUT.
