Looks like Lucifer Morningstar isn’t quite a lucky devil any longer. His show’s ratings have fallen year after year and so, FOX has cancelled its Lucifer TV show. Sadly, fans of the supernatural crime drama won’t be seeing a fourth season this fall.
A FOX comedy-drama, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling. The supernatural procedural centers on Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis) who abandoned his throne, retired to Los Angeles, opened up a nightclub, and started helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (German) crack cases.
Lucifer: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of Lucifer is averaging a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.30 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 20% and down by 10%, respectively. While those declines aren’t huge, the series has seen dips in its ratings each season and the series could easily have been cancelled before. Apparently, the ratings dipped just a bit too low.
Out of the scripted FOX TV shows we’re tracking, Lucifer ranks 13th in terms of its demo performance and rises to 10th place in terms of average total audience size.
Lucifer showrunner Joe Henderson broke the bad news this afternoon.
So… yeah. #Lucifer has been cancelled. And it fucking HURTS. I loved this show so damn much and everyone put their heart and soul into it. Heartbreaking doesn't begin to describe.

The defacto series finale airs Monday, May 14th.

It’s the only show that I like on fox. I think that there should be a 4th session to end it if fox want to cancelled it the right way

What!!! I can not believe that they are cancelling this show! This is my favorite of all! I don’t understand why everything has to do with ratings. Everyone likes different shows and not everyone has the same outlook on things. This world is all about not what an individual likes it’s all about the ratings and how fast a fast food joint can get your order out to you to only have to go back cause the damn order was wrong! I think this is wrong! Keep them on the show is awesome!

I’m DONE watching FOX channel. This is the 2nd time they’ve done this to a show I’ve loved. So screw FOX network. I know a few of my friends are done too. Boo to you FOX u SUCK!!!!!

I watch it on Hulu because I can’t watch it on Monday. I hate that they are cancelling Lucifer. I love that show.
I think you are forgetting the Canadian followers. We get to see Lucifer on Sunday nights on CTV and on Monday nights on Fox. Most of us probably see it on Sunday because we can’t wait until Monday. Personally I watch both times because we don’t get a preview of the next episode on Sunday night on CTV but Fox gives you a preview on Monday.
Please take this into consideration. The show is more loved than you realize!!!
Is it not here, that Netflix steps in and continue the series, for us? This show is much better than other netflix shows, they put their label on.
