What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, The Orville stars Seth MacFarlane, Adrianne Palicki, Penny Johnson Jerald, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, Halston Sage, J Lee, Mark Jackson, Chad L. Coleman, Norm Macdonald, Larry Joe Campbell, Victor Garber, Brian George, and Rachael MacFarlane. In 2417, Ed Mercer (Seth MacFarlane) is promoted to captain The U.S.S. Orville, with the assistance of First Officer Kelly Grayson (Palicki). Unfortunately, she’s his ex-wife, and her presence acts as a bridle on his enthusiasm. Whether facing off with the Krill, a dangerous alien race, or attempting rescues on behalf of the Planetary Union, the human and alien crew still must deal with their mundane issues and each other.
Season One Ratings

Telly’s Take
Although it premiered with very good numbers, the first two episodes were scheduled to air after NFL double-headers on Sunday evenings, which is a great lead-in. The show regularly airs on Thursdays when it’s tougher to attract an audience. While the numbers saw a big drop in the new timeslot, they are still good enough to earn a second season on FOX. This is actually a great show to enjoy with the family and I for one am very impressed. Its not over the top in any violence, inappropriate language, or adult situations and therefore I’m comfortable sitting down with my children and enjoying an evening watching this show together. Too often am I hard-pressed to find a decent show that’s not inappropriate in some manner. I have been a trekkie since 1969. This Version of a Star Trek anything was A REDICULOUS MESS. I could only stomach about 15 minutes and turned it off. Never to watch it again. So dissatisfied with this Version or interpretation of what this person thinks Star Trek is. The other versions ; though I admit were not perfect were at least watchable and more believable as a Star Trek version.
It’s a disgrace that this was even allowed on television.

I’m glad they renewed the Orville tv show. if they would have canceled it I would have been sad. I like Seth Macfarlane he is funny in his own way but I don’t laugh at all his jokes because I don’t find them all funny and just as a person he’s funny and cute

This is a great show!Please ignore all the negative feedback from these people. I really enjoyed the first season. Hopefully I will see more seasons in the near future. Those of you that don`t like it can change the damn channel.
