We don’t have to wonder whether the Pure TV show will be cancelled or renewed for season two on WGN America. Originally a CBC and Hulu TV series, WGNA and Super Channel partnered with those networks to produce a second season of Pure that would originate on their stations. In the meantime, WGNA is running the first season of Pure, before debuting season two later this year. Will the American audience tune in, or have most interested viewers already streamed it on Hulu? The ratings will tell the tale, so stay tuned.
A WGN America drama, Pure stars Ryan Robbins, Alex Paxton-Beesley, Peter Outerbridge, A.J. Buckley, Gord Rand, Dylan Taylor, Rosie Perez, Jessica Clement, Dylan Everett, Aaron Hale, Lanette Ware, Cory Bowles, Felix Bieger, Patrick Garrow, Gary Levert, Joanne Miller, and Wendy Lyon. The story centers on Mennonite pastor, Noah Funk (Robbins). Noah must find a way to protect his family, remain true to his faith, carry on with his ministry, and run his dairy farm, all the while rooting a drug trafficking ring out of their cloistered community.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
