Annie Bello won’t get to fight for new causes in the 2021-22 television season. ABC has cancelled the Rebel TV series so there won’t be a second year.
A drama, the Rebel TV show is inspired by the life of activist Erin Brockovich today and stars Katey Sagal, John Corbett, James Lesure, Lex Scott Davis, Tamala Jones, Ariela Barer, Kevin Zegers, Sam Palladio, and Andy Garcia. Annie “Rebel” Bello (Sagal) is a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree. She’s a funny, messy, brilliant, and fearless woman who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves. When Rebel applies herself to a fight she believes in, she will win at almost any cost.
Airing on Thursday nights, the first season of Rebel averages a 0.43 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.23 million viewers in the live+same day ratings.
The cancellation doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The series follows Grey’s Anatomy on the schedule but performs poorly in the ratings and loses a lot of its lead-in audience. It’s one of the lowest-rated freshman series on the network this season.

This show has a purpose with a real goal, it shows people what’s important. It’s got a great cast and great writers, PLEASE RENEW this show.
I was very disappointed to learn that “Rebel” won’t return next season. I really enjoyed the program, never missed an episode. I hope ABC will reconsider. And I hope it won’t be replaced by some stupid game show or reality show.

I love this show, Rebel. I think acting is great, characters, story line.. so pissed it has been canceled. ABC, please bring this show back. By the way, this is the first time I have ever been passionate about a show cancellation that I have emailed a network about it
I was looking forward to Season 2 of Rebel. I wanted to see them all working together to bring down that nasty woman.

REBEL IS AN EXCELLENT DRAMA SERIES. I’m sooooooooo disappointed that it was cancelled after the 4th episode. It got off to a great start and kept its momentum through the end of season 1! ABC didn’t give it a chance and it’s definitely one of the better shows on television. Krista Vernoff (Creator, writer, producer) has a history of Emmy winning success with ABC and deserved better. So did this hardworking cast and crew. It would be awesome if another network picked it up!
This was a refreshing show to watch, very unhappy it won’t be renewed!
We have loved Rebel. We watch it over law and order and haven’t missed an episode. Take off some of the reality smut and keep on a good show!

I love the show Rebel and it’s entire cast. Please please reconsider cancelling this show. We need more meaningful shows with a cause. PLEASE RECONSIDER THE CANCELLATION AND RENEW FOR A 2ND SEASON.
