Nobody’s safe. CBS has cancelled its Salvation TV show after two seasons. During the second season, which finished its run on September 17, 2018, the science fiction thriller’s ratings dropped significantly, so the Salvation cancellation has been expected.
A CBS suspense drama, Salvation stars Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnigan, Charlie Rowe, Jacqueline Byers, Melia Kreiling, Ashley Thomas, and Ian Anthony Dale. The story centers MIT graduate student Liam Cole (Rowe) and tech genius Darius Tanz (Cabrera), who discover that in six months, a huge asteroid will crash into the Earth. In season two, the truth is out. Now that it is no longer a secret, the impeding threat will elicit both the best and worst from humanity.

TV By the Numbers reports CBS has confirmed Salvation is cancelled.
What do you think? Were you a fan of the Salvation TV series? If it had been up to you, would CBS have cancelled or renewed this TV show for a third season.
Yes…. We enjoyed this show. Please created season three.
Please, make one more season, at least. Make it as first season was, direct facts, smart moves and touchable.
I am so tired of the networks canceling so many sci-fi type shows without giving them an adequate chance to gain a fan base. With the younger generations totally wrapped up in You Tube and social media sites, why don’t the networks finally start listening to older viewers that will give shows more of a chance. Quality should mean something positive, not Fluff shows. Very disappointed this show was cancelled; and with so many unanswered questions.
I just streamed the 2 available seasons of salvation and can not believe cbs cancelled the series. The best sci-fi shows always get cancelled. Please it’s not too late to do the right thing and finish the story.
Critics know nothing and so does the viewers. Before CBS canceled Salvation, they should have moved it to another day and time where it wouldn’t be opposite some superficial fluff or some sensationistic ratings-grabber geared toward the shallow. One of the best series’ on television and they didn’t give it a chance. If Netflix continues it, I’ll subscribe again and scrap CBS All Access.
Just finished binging Salvation. OMG!!!
Both my son and I loved it and questioned how it could have been cancelled! A season three is needed!
I loved the series. Couldn’t wait for the next episode. Well written well developed, exciting, and current!
Watched seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix…truly gripping show. Very sad that no Season 3 is planned. Fingers crossed Netflix buys the rights and produces a 3rd Season of their own…
Great show, I was looking for season 3 when I found your cancellation.. How did you figure that ? Omg
I would have created a Season 3…!
I think it is one of the flawless tv series.
All dots are connected.
No direction or story flaws.
Darius Tanz is awesome.
Story revolves around a theme.
Just discovered show. If I had known it was on CBS I would have already known that two seasons is their breaking point. When my son was acting, we would have never accepted anything from CBS because they have no faith in their shows and do not listen to the fans. I really liked this cast and like Jericho, it is over too soon. CBS showed just sell and end our pain!
Totally binged on this fantastic show. Am gutted that we won’t get to see Samson’s outcome. Come on producers, if your not gonna make a further season, at least make a special and finish your story. I feel like I have been reading a book only to find the last pages torn out!!!! Salvation is one of the best Netflix shows that I’ve watched. And that’s a lot these last 2 months of winter in the UK. Me and my husband have been on the edge of our seats while watching this, NO other series has had us like this.… Read more »
