What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Hulu paid subscription platform, Shut Eye stars Jeffrey Donovan, KaDee Strickland, Angus Sampson, Susan Misner, Isabella Rossellini, Dylan Schmid, David Zayas, Havana Guppy, and Layla Alizada. The story centers on Charlie Haverford (Donovan). A failed magician, Charlie is a con artist who manages some storefront fortune-telling parlors. He and his wife, Linda (Strickland), long to get out from under the thumb of the Marks family, which controls most of the operations in Los Angeles. After Charlie gets hit on the head, he begins experiencing visions of the future. Now, he’s trying to keep from losing his mind, as he pursues a clean break for himself and his family
On January 30, 2018, Shut Eye was cancelled so there won’t be a third season. Could it be revived some day? Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize its viewership, we’d need a bona fide clairvoyant to predict whether Hulu will cancel or renew Shut Eye for a second season. While I still need to hone my “cold read” skills, I can foresee this oddball drama scoring a season three renewal. That’s just speculation, though. Since I can’t foretell the future, I’ll keep an eye on the trades and update this page with breaking developments. Subscribe for free alerts on any Shut Eye cancellation or renewal news.

Why would you cancel this show?! It’s funny, exciting, and there are so many unanswered questions at least have a third season and wrap everything up, please!!

well, this is disappointing: I have had it on a to watch list but never got around to it [partially because I still haven’t even gotten around to Handmaidens either and wasn’t impressed with past Hulu specials] I was prodded by a friend to try it and went into it like a fish into water enjoying it immensely. About halfway done with Season 2 now this. I hope they change their minds as this was a sleeper that has just started making it along the grapeline and another keeper imo. I had this show in my watch list for abt a month before watching. I should have watched it immediately! Great show! Love the cast. It is SO GOOD, I’m not binge watching..drawing it out so I can savor it.

I used to be a tv junkie, but had stopped watching TV shows completely for over 2 years. That is, until, I found Shut Eye! I do not plan on falling back into my old habits, but Shut Eye is perfect to quench my thirst for well rounded entertainment. Please renew for season 3.
