The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

How are you going to set season three up as if there will be a season four. I wanted to see what happens to stars baby and all the people who were shot at Alex’s wedding. I’m so mad that it has been cancelled. Do the viewers who do watch not matter? It said online that there are 3.5 million viewers that should be enough to play season four. We definitely need a better ending to know what exactly happened at the end of season 3. That’s nuts that they didn’t even think twice of the viewers who need an actual series finally. Fox sucks for that.
I really think this is stupid, star is a good show but also shows the struggles people face and how they still bring it together to come out in top, breaks my heart the way it ended
