Star Trek: The Next Generation aired for seven seasons and spawned films on the big screen, but it has been more than twenty years since the series ended. Marina Sirtis, the actress behind Deanna Troi, has remained active in the Star Trek fandom since the last film by attending conventions.
According to Trek Today, the actress spoke about the series and her character during a recent interview with MZNow. She remembers the challenge playing the role of Troi on the series because the character was so unlike her.
Would she be willing to bring the character back to life? With a new Star Trek in development, it is possible fans could see some of the old characters pop back up. That has not yet been mentioned though.
Sirtis said the following about playing Troi again:
“It would be interesting to me to go back now, twenty years later and kind of go ‘who did she become? Who is she now?’ I would find that very interesting and I would love to do that.”
Would you like to see the return of Troi or any of the other former stars from the Star Trek universe return? Tell us what you think.
Yes. She would be awesome and bring in viewers.
I would love to see Troi and any of the Next Gen characters. A reunion or a revival of the series would be awesome!
Worst regular ST character ever…
I would love to see any trek people return, how about some of Dr sungs work prior to data and lore, or Zimmerman work ahead of the Dr. Also think there should be a series, star trek , starfleet academy. Next gen era, so many people could be brought thru a series like this. After all everyone has to go thru the academy and with some time travel or alternate dimension episodes there isn’t nobody they couldn’t bring back at any time
I THINK IT WOULD BE AWESOME FOR HER TO COME BACK LOVE HER ACTING
It’s going to be on a paid site? Well, I dislike saying it, pirated episodes will be available.
Would love a new Star Trek series after all these years…ONLY if it on Cable, NOT streaming which very few would fork over $$$ to watch which should be on cable for all. Just watch, if it is or any program only on streaming, it will not get viewers to last. Use your brain and put it on cable!
