TV show description:
Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) is a former government agent but has been one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives for decades. Known as “The Concierge of Crime,” he has brokered shadowy deals for criminals across the globe.
Things take a strange turn when he mysteriously surrenders to the FBI with an unusual offer. He offers to help catch a long-thought-dead terrorist named Ranko Zamani — under the condition that he speaks only to Elizabeth “Liz” Keen (Megan Boone). Liz is a rookie FBI profiler with seemingly no connection to the master criminal.
Zamani is only the first of many on a list that Red has compiled over the years. He has a “blacklist” of politicians, mobsters, spies, and international terrorists. He will help authorities catch them all — with the caveat that Liz will continue to work as his partner. He’ll teach her to think like a criminal and to “see the bigger picture” — whether she wants to or not.
Naturally, these events concern Liz’s associates like FBI Assistant Director Harry Cooper (Harry Lennix), FBI agent Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff), and her husband Tom (Ryan Eggold), an easygoing guy who has a few secrets of his own.
Episode #218 — Raymond Reddington: Good Night
The future of the FBI’s Reddington Task Force is decided.
First aired: July 13, 2023.
What do you think? Do you like The Blacklist TV series? Do you think it should have ended? Would you have watched season 11?
Please keep the show on. I LOVE the show. I always look forward to watch in on my Monday. My grandson and I.
This show will make you buckle up. Holy crap there are so many turns in a story its the best written series to hit the tv schedule. Everyone knew the situation with Red and Lizzies Dad..or we thought there was going to be a simple resolution. Ha……! This show just gets better and better. Excellent cast and EXCELLENT writing.
Amen!
I want to like this show but there are such stupid cliche moments I don’t know why I keep watching.
Some of the acting is terrible and the way the bad guys get away sometimes is just way too easy.
Then don’t watch it!
Excellent entertainment!
PLEASE keep the show. Very well done. Red’s witty one liner’s are comical and breaks up the edge of your seat drama. You think you know the plot then in a split second your total caught off guard. I ALWAYS look forward to the next episode on Hulu Plus. I watched the first six episodes before my husband watched them, and I honestly picked up on little queue’s that I did not see the first time. Great show and would watch them for a third time…
This series is definitely a keeper!!!!!
I will second that Sherry. Outstanding series for once.
This is a fantastic show!!! James Spader is awesome and the characters are played well by the other actors so far. Interesting plot turns and twists. I will definitely keep this on my DVR!!! I can’t wait for next week’s episode!
James Spader was the only reason I watched Boston Legal. He seems so pompous in all his roles and I would probably hate him in person, but as an actor he is brilliant.
Excellent show. I was blown away on how well casted the show. The plot was riveting and very intelligent (compared to most of the silly stuff on TV). James Spader is a superb actor. If he’s in it, then I must watch it. I haven’t been disappointed in anything he’s starred in. Is he really a reptilian?? I noticed a strange play of his eye color. Sometimes they’re blue and other times brown or dark. Maybe that’s what makes him interesting.
Loved this show. James Spader has done it again. PLEASE do not make this a show people like and then cancel it. Action packed and attention getting.
I have to tell you, my husband and I watched the premier last night and were sitting on the edge of our seats from the first moment. We didn’t want it to end when it did. This is going to be a great series and if given a chance may be up there with “Criminal Minds” or even the most popular show on TV, “Duck Dynasty”.
Can’t wait til next week.
Very well done!
Is it obvious to anyone else that Lizzie is spader’s character’s daughter? First episode was intriguing enough to keep me watching. James spade is one of my favorites.
Ruby, you need to rescind that. “Is it obvious…” *rolls eyes* Get real. That’s TOO obvious, and it’s NOT a fact. Red is NOT Lizzy’s father. Keep watching. You need to look deeper into the shows to catch more hints what you’re thinking.
Yes, he is!
I disagree with you guys. I’m looking forward for this hit series and James Spader is at the top of his game. I saw the trailer like 100 times and I’m always hooked on The Blacklist. It’s one of the best new shows of the Fall TV season and I can’t wait to tune in on September 23rd because this series has potential and it’s destined to be one of the breakout hits of the year. It’s part 24 part Homeland with a mix of Silence Of The Lambs in the middle but don’t count on this show as a… Read more »
Stupid show. Going to miss Burn Notice.
I’ve seen the previews and the snippet that they offer on ONDemand and it looks interesting, so of course they’ll probably cancel it because we can’t have shows that actually stimulate the mind and intrigue us. We need more mind numbing fake reality tv. I hope this shows is the exception rather than the new norm.
