Airing on the FOX television network, The Cool Kids stars David Alan Grier, Martin Mull, Vicki Lawrence, and Leslie Jordan. The TV show revolves around a loyal but motley crew who live at a retirement community and will break any rule to have fun. Though they may be older, this quartet is far from done with life. The self-proclaimed “cool kids” are determined to make the third act of their lives the craziest and most interesting one yet.
The first season of The Cool Kids on FOX is averaging a 0.85 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.27 million viewers.
Compared to the other FOX TV shows of the 2018-19 season, the sitcom is a middle-of-the-road performer. The series started out really strong but the ratings lost steam as the season progressed.

We just can’t understand why ‘The Cool Kids’ was cancelled! A hilarious show where every actor capable of making you laugh out loud! Really upset at Fox for pulling the plug on a comedy we always looked forward to – a welcome break from life’s challenges
I really liked this show. I thought the cast had gotten it’s timing down and liked the guest stars, as well. Made sure to watch every episode. Seriously 18- to whatever are not staying at home to watch TV on Fridays, might want to rethink the demographics.
Absolutely. Do you recall how long some of the other sitcoms lasted. COSBY SHOW, EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, MIKE AND MOLLY. And what do these shows all have in common with The Cool Kids-the characters mesh. They click. They all offered a big part of a whole that made for a funny successful show. The storyline options are endless regarding elderly and this motely crew plays it well. Ill come write the shows. Im ready to serve the public with good clean humor.

You can not tell me this was not one of the best, brilliant shows on tv today. I don’t know how you come up with these ratings on these shows. I been reading thousands if not millions of comments on how this show “ The Cool Kids” was the best new comer on TV! These actors work together so well. I never write comments, but it just sickens me to hear this show cancelled.
