Airing on the FOX television network, The Cool Kids stars David Alan Grier, Martin Mull, Vicki Lawrence, and Leslie Jordan. The TV show revolves around a loyal but motley crew who live at a retirement community and will break any rule to have fun. Though they may be older, this quartet is far from done with life. The self-proclaimed “cool kids” are determined to make the third act of their lives the craziest and most interesting one yet.
The first season of The Cool Kids on FOX is averaging a 0.85 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.27 million viewers.
Compared to the other FOX TV shows of the 2018-19 season, the sitcom is a middle-of-the-road performer. The series started out really strong but the ratings lost steam as the season progressed.

This was a great show. One of the few ones I actually watch and was funny.
The cast has great chemistry. The story lines were a bit dull. But I thought the writers were slowly getting the hang of things. More interesting stories would have kept this boat afloat!
SO disappointed to find out this was cancelled! I just started re-watching season 1 last night and got my mother on to it. I was really looking forward to a second season. It was a great show! I really hope they will reconsider. I think it would have done better aired on a different night. I always had a hard time catching it on Friday nights, I had to record it because I was usually doing something else on Friday evenings.
I’m extremely disappointed to hear “Cool Kids” has not been renewed for a second season! I’ve been searching for it since it was one of the funniest shows around!
I loved is show ~ This is what the people NEED on TV to see.. REAL LIFE stuff NOT FAKE ASS reality shows !

Please bring them back. I love them all especially Sid. Between Sid, Margaret, Charlie and Hank they make for a hilarious comedy. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring them back. Friday night will not be the same.
you should look to an older group say over 55 as it was one of the best right up there with mash and Andy Griffin which are the kinds of show that appeal to the over 55 group. Please reconsider or at least have Netflix pick it up.
Please save this gut laughing senior sitcom The Cool Kids ️ ! Fox made a big mistake canceling the show ! Their hasn’t been such hilarious comedians in a situation comedy show like the Golden Girls, McHale’s Navy, Sanford and Son, or the Mary Tyler Moore Show are in the same category! All ages 5 to 90 some yrs old! Well HELLO!!!! Let’s give this fun comedy a little time to establish their audience….my husband and I have been anxiously awaiting the new season. Soooooooo disappointed in FOX’s decision to cancel this show
I loved the Cool Kids! It was a great program that kept me laughing! I had a hard time watching it because it was on Friday night and most people are not home on Friday’s or Saturdays. Another day would be prefect. Please have another season because your age range is a little off.
People in their 50’s through 70’s loved it.
Please bring The Cool Kids Back!! I’m so sad that this show is canceled. Please renew! Or maybe another network can pick it up? This show is comforting and so Baby Boomer friendly.
My husband and I loved this show! It was hilarious…just plain funny!! We looked forward to it every week. With all the stuff that’s on TV these days, it’s hard to believe that FOX won’t give it a chance. It’s such refreshing comedy!!

I laughed out loud at cool kids. Disappointed that it was not renewed. I am in the 49+ viewer group. How come there can not be shows for us?
Crap! I was just telling people how funny the series is and told them to watch for it to come back. Cannot understand why with so many baby boomers that it wasn’t popular?!
