What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC psychic police procedural, The InBetween stars Harriet Dyer, Paul Blackthorne, Justin Cornwell, Anne-Marie Johnson, Cindy Luna, Chad James Buchanan, Andres Joseph, Michael B. Silver, and Sean Bulger. The paranormal drama centers on Cassie Bedford (Dyer), who is gifted with abilities she often considers a curse. Cassie has unbidden visions of events past and future and is also approached by spirits who need her help in some way. She gets drawn into the cases her foster father, Seattle Police detective Tom Hackett (Blackthorne), works with his new partner, former FBI profiler and LAPD detective Damien Asante (Cornwell).

Will NBC cancel or renew The InBetween for season two? The ratings have been quite low but they have been consistent. I suspect this summer series will be cancelled but NBC could keep it because it’s a summer series and they have lower expectations. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. I really like this show and especially the cast. There are so many TV shows out there that are not worth watching. I loved Ghost Whisperer and The Medium and I really look forward to watching In Between every week. I hope they bring this on for another season and cancel some of these ridiculous reality TV shows.
I found the Inbetween on Hulu. Others will find it and it will be a hit. Give it another season, please

Please do not cancel the InBetween….I don’t understand the age group your going for…..speaking for my age group….I’m 62 years old…..what do you people think we do after 7 pm…..we WATCH TV…..our age group doesn’t seem to get considered in 99 percent of the programs…..we are at home watching all the super cool shows that you guys keep canceling…..please throw our age group in there…..we are not out partying or shopping……we do our shopping on line and from ads off the tv……the age group your going for are not sitting on their butts watching tv in the evening…..we are….50 and… Read more »
Best Comment! The other age groups are never considered and the ratings are based on a small set of people they are measuring, the popularity of some of these shows is sometimes crazy big outside of the US/EU, but just because these guys do not directly air them there, they will not get the exact numbers.
I have been ringing this bell for years, Teresa! We also have the majority of spendable income because our kids are grown and our responsibilities are minimal. By throwing us out of the ratings game? They are throwing out those who most, as you said, watch TV and by from ads on TV. It’s one of the dumbest decisions made by the entertainment industry and it absolutely baffles my mind!!! No wonder the best TV is moving to the Internet. So are we to find the many apps with way more shows to choose from. And we have the money… Read more »

The Inbetween and This is Us are the 2 best shows NBC has. Please don’t make the mistake by cancelling this show. The Inbetween is 10 times better than Ghost Whisperer and Medium put together. It should also be a full time series definitely not just 10 episodes. Also, the ratings need to be based on its reviews, not just on age groups because networks should realize all of the medias used to watch shows.
