What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the HBO cable channel, The Nevers TV show stars Laura Donnelly, Ann Skelly, Olivia Williams, James Norton, Tom Riley, Pip Torrens, Ben Chaplin, Denis O’Hare, Amy Manson, Rochelle Neil, Zackary Momoh, Eleanor Tomlinson, Elizabeth Berrington, Anna Devlin, Kiran Sonia Sawar, Viola Prettejohn, Ella Smith, Vinnie Heaven, and Nick Frost. In the year 1896, Victorian London is rocked by a supernatural event that gives certain people (mostly women) abnormal abilities — from the wondrous to the disturbing. But, no matter their particular “turns,” all who belong to this new underclass are in grave danger. It falls to mysterious, quick-fisted widow Amalia True (Donnelly) and brilliant young inventor Penance Adair (Skelly) to protect and shelter these gifted “orphans.” To do so, they have to face the brutal forces determined to annihilate their kind.

Telly’s Take
Will HBO cancel or renew The Nevers for season two? The series was created by Joss Whedon which, ordinarily, would be a big plus for a supernatural series about empowered women. After all of the recent allegations about how Whedon has treated some of his actors and writers, it’s hard to tell if his name will ultimately help or hinder the show’s chances of survival. The traditional ratings are okay but the series does well in streaming and delayed viewing so, I think The Nevers will be renewed. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. I truly like The Nevers. The characters are all amazing . The first 6 episodes were all so great. I do hope there will be many more season of The Nevers
Still waiting with fingers crossed and bated breath for second season since the first was Hella Great! Love the androgynous, inclusive cast and breaking of norms, mores, and conventions!
Really want there to be a season 2 have been waiting to long
I have watched the first 6 episodes 4 times now. I will probably watched again. I am going crazy waiting for the next 6. If they don’t renew it I will be canceling my subscription.
Loved the show and I’ve been checking occasionally to see when it would continue! In the final episode particularly, I think Laura Donnelly showed BRILLIANT range portraying her complex character(s.)
Who the hell decided the 18-49 age group is the only demographic which holds a viable metric for tv ratings?!? That’s friken’ stupid!
I would love to see a season 2. I’m 61 and not an important demographic but I feel my opinion should count.

Yes my whole family has been waiting for a second season. I hate it when a great show gets thrown out because the younger viewers don’t have the attention span to keep up. You listed 18 to 39, I and my three sons are all over 39 and we get it.
Bring back the show.

I love the show, I haven’t had a good show to watch in over a year, so far I love it. Its about empowering strong women , and its sort of supernatural, can’t get better than that. Hbo you better keep it , you haven’t had a good show since GOT
HBO’s The Nevers could be as big as the Walking Dead (early years). If Ms. Amy Manson doesn’t win an acting award— then, the awards are fixed. Her portrayal of the characters, especially Maladie, is the best I’ve seen on ANY program in years on ANY viewing format or show available on ATTtv, HBOgo or HBOmax, Netflix, AppleTV, Youtube, etc.
