ABC hasn’t had much luck launching a new reality show in quite some time so they tried something different this time — The Quest. Is it a ratings success? Will it be renewed for a second season or, will it be cancelled instead?
On The Quest, a dozen everyday people are transported to a fantasy world called Everealm where they have adventures and compete to be the last “true hero” remaining. The cast includes Peter Windhofer, Jan Hutter, Marcello de Nardo, Susanne Gschwendtner, Stephanie Buddenbrock, Florence Kasumba, Mai Duong Kieu, and Doug Tait.
The show debuted at the end of July to a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.82 million viewers. It was a very poor start — even for a summer series — and the numbers have gotten worse as the weeks have gone by.

The season currently averages a paltry 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.96 million viewers. That’s worse than Sing Your Face Off, a celebrity reality show that was burned off on Saturday nights in June.
To be fair, The Quest has had to compete with football games in some markets and has also been preempted by games on some local ABC stations. The ratings are still very, very low however and the network knew that the series would be interrupted when they scheduled it — a sign that they probably had no faith in it.
In the end, it’s highly unlikely that ABC will want to take a chance on ordering a second season of The Quest.

I really Like The Quest it’s so unique and interesting, I don’t really like reality shows but this is just so great and absolutely incredible and I’m only episode 3 but I’m really liking where it’s going and I love Queen Ralia she’s amazing, please don’t cancel this show it has such potential!
I love this show. I like the mix of reality TV with a story line. I also like that the contestants are, for the most part, working together to solve the Quest. It is a refreshing change from most of the other reality contestant shows. I would like to see it renewed for a second season.

Keep it! It is imaginative and unique. Don’t blame the show for a poor time slot and non-existent advertising. With so many bland competition shows The Quest gives TV a much needed breath of fresh air. ABC should realize what a gem it has with this show and give it a second season. Then it could turn the uncut gem into a truly miraculous jewel.
I love this show and look forward to each episode. Give it another season for those of us who love the medievel themed show.

Keep it! I started watching it out of curiosity but now I’m hooked. I’d like to see another season.
Continue The Quest! It’s the perfect blend of reality and fantasy. I try to watch every episode, but if I’m not able to, I use my trusty DVR to keep me posted. This show debuted in the summer when alot of people are on vacation and not really watching tv as much as in the fall/winter. Give them a fighting chance, ABC! Networks are too quick to pull the plug on good shows, yet keep lesser entertainment on the air for eons. At least this show has storytelling and actual actors along with the “real” people. Long live The Quest!
I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!! Start it a little earlier in the summer next year. I think timing is everything. Waiting so late in the summer was a mistake. People are busy cramming in last minute vacations, getting started in school which means earlier bedtimes and football practice and games are in full swing. This is so unique and FUN to watch! Thanks for making what turned out to be a very long summer for us a very entertaining one. I hope you give this show another chance next summer. Should it get another season? Yes.
Season 2 can clean up some clunky parts.
They should think about AD&D when making next season
