What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network, The Rookie TV show stars Nathan Fillion, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Titus Makin Jr., Melissa O’Neil, and Eric Winter. The series follows the experiences of John Nolan (Fillion), a middle-aged divorced man from Pennsylvania. He owns a construction company but decides to give up his old life to pursue a new career as a police officer in the Los Angeles Police Department. He graduates from the Police Academy and becomes the oldest rookie on the force. He works with Sergeant Wade Grey (Jones), training officers Angela Lopez (Diaz) and Tim Bradford (Winter), and fellow rookies Jackson West (Makin Jr.) and Lucy Chen (O’Neil). As season two begins, John is six months into his career as a cop and is put to the test by new challenges, romantic relationships, and potentially deadly situations.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Rookie averaged a 0.64 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.32 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 12% in the demo and up by 4% in viewers. Find out how The Rookie stacks up against other ABC TV shows.

The Rookie is one show that my husband and I like watching together. There is always a lot of action and good story lines. Please do not cancel. We had watched Castle faithfully as well .
We really enjoy watching Nathan Fillion. We liked him in Castle, but I think his character in The Rookie is better, not so silly. Please don’t cancel it! The Rookie is great! It is so hard to find good clean shows with out too much violence nowadays. Ratings people should check out how many people watch on Hulu because we can’t stand commercials miss watching things on regular TV, we watch a lot of the new shows on Hulu. Betcha most people are watching it there.
Moving to Sunday was a mistake, it’s up against football. Move it back to a week night like it was.

My husband and I love The Rookie and look forward to watching it every week. We are hoping it will be renewed for Season 3 soon.
The Rookie is a great show!! The problem is that you can’t keep it on a Sunday night because people watch FOOTBALL and whatever PBS is offering or HBO or Starz.. Wednesday night would be a good night. Thanks…You have to watch what I is going up against on any station. Friday night at 8pm NBC has the Blacklist…that is also an opening for 9pm or 10pm. Thursday night at 10 pm would be great as How to GET away with Murder is ending its final show forever. So thanks

ABC would be crazy not to renew the rookie great show one of the best on abc right now so ABC if you listen to your consumers renew The Rookie show for 2 more seasons at least there is still a lot more story to the show that can be done. Sincerely fans of The Rookie
ABC would be absolutely INSANE not to renew “The Rookie”! This show is some of the best written and acted television that I’ve seen since “Designated Survivor” and “24”! And if I hear even a whiff that they are considering canceling or not renewing it, I am seriously considering petitioning ABC to keep it going! Anyone else with me?
The Rookie is a very Good show and very interesting and Fillion is Excellent. I wish it didn’t have to compete with SundayNight Football
