Viewers will see more of head ER nurse Claire Malone (Torri Higginson) during the upcoming second season of Transplant on NBC. The actress has been promoted to series regular status. Hamza Haq, Laurence Leboeuf, John Hannah, Jim Watson, Ayisha Issa, and Linda E. Smith also star in the medical drama which follows the lives of the staff at York Memorial Hospital.
CTV in Canada ordered a second season of Transplant last year. Production was delayed until early this month, due to COVID-19. It is not known when the second season will air on NBC but there will be 13 episodes once again.
According to Deadline, “Season two will pick up almost immediately where season one left off, with Dr. Bashir Hamed (Hamza Haq) and his fellow residents reeling after Dr. Jed Bishop (John Hannah), the hospital’s Chief of Emergency Medicine, suffered a possible stroke.”

I’m a very devoted fan of the show. I’m so happy it is coming back. I love all the characters
This is a great show. My wife and I both think so and we are very glad to see it has been renewed. It is good to the point it angers me that the people deciding the Emmy nominations these days no longer even consider network television shows like Transplant. They should.
We really enjoyed the first season of Transplsnt. Excited to watch the next season
Glad to see its coming back but sad to see its only 13 episodes thats only half a season. Realy I can’t wait for the series start
This is a great show with an unique take on it. His flashbacks of his past reflect on the reality often in different countries. It’s a show that can further open minds. All the characters do a awesome job in creating whom they are on the show… Thank You… I also worked in surgery for 35 years at a Trama Center so it can bring it home for me… Lets Keep this show going for many more seasons…!
