With season 10 of The X-Files released to DVD this week, fans are wondering more about season 11 of the FOX series. Chris Carter spoke about the future of the series in a recent interview, and he is ready to take on the project once a schedule can be figured out.
David Duchovny also spoke about The X-Files in an interview about the release of his NBC series, Aquarius. Fans only need to wait for the series to return. He said the following to TV Insider:
“We are talking about it, and like before, it’s a matter of getting the three principal people in the same room for a significant amount of time to shoot it. Last time, it obviously took nearly 10 years [to get us all together again], so hopefully it won’t take that long. And I think there were too few episodes. Twenty-two is far too many, but six is too few, so we’ve got to figure out something right in between.”
For now, fans of David Duchovny can see him on NBC this summer in Aquarius. Do you want more of The X-Files on FOX? Tell us what you think.
I wish they had made the 6 episodes into one long plot – like they did with the short series- The Night Manager. They did 6 episodes and it was done very well. The story was complete from beginning to end. X-Files ended like they knew they would come back, now they’re saying that it might not. How can they end the series like that? It’s ridiculous! I absolutely love The X-Files and would never want it to go away, but I want it to be done right.
Yes, X-Files was my favorite show. They should do a standard 13 episodes, being most shows are doing that. Because of uncertainty, the show needs to have less of a cliffhanger and bring in William. Plus, it would be great to see where Doggett is too.
Yes! Yes! Yes! We need to get off this cliff. Please bring back the X-Files for season 11!!!! And, BTW, we want some M and S romance!
