7/24/18 update: Yellowstone has been renewed for a second season by Paramount Network. Details here.
One of the best, most realistic programs. Ranching is not an easy business. I’ve been it in it for 65 years.
We loved the show. If you paid attention within the first few minutes you figured out who was related to whom. Absolutely looking forward to more great episodes!
I love Kevin Costner in a western! I watched this first episode just for him, and he did not disappoint me. I can’t wait to see more.
Wow!! The premiere was outstanding! They did a fantastic job in casting for this enticing series . It had me hooked in the first 10 minutes and I can’t wait for the next episode. This will be a better series than Dallas ever was and I foresee a very long running show for Paramount. I hadn’t been aware of the Paramount network, but I sure am now.
What happened, who are all these people, & why so much confusion, degradation, etc, every part had a negative impact on me, death, destruction, sex, bad language. There was not one redeemable part. I never figured out who was related to who! Kevin Costner deserves a better format, something like the old Wesrerns. Unfortunately I could go on & on. Everyone I spoke to afterwards felt the same way. Start over and make a GOOD western!
I have seen more westerns than most people alive. I have been in the ranching business and the U S Military as a LT. Colonel. This is realistic and is excellent. I knew many of the actors in serials like Gunsmoke, even Audie Murphy. Kevin Kostners Hatfield’s and McCoys was also excellent. These are real life like episodes. They make recent westerns like Deadwood look really bad.
I thought the first episode was terrific!! Loved it!! Cannot wait to see the next episode!! I hope it will be continued in the future!! It is wonderful to see great entertainment like this–we look forward to it!!
I thought it was great!! Love this show. Love the actors. Felt like I was at the movies. Can’t wait to see the next episode.
Just a couple of minutes into show and there was the “F” bomb, cursing God.its like there’s a mental block to producing good entertainment, most people don’t talk like that. I’m around a lot of people and this type of language just doesn’t exist. Cancel it and put the money into something families would like to watch
Exactly they dont need the f bomb what ajoke
I absolutely love the show! Cast is awesome. Of course anything with Kevin Costner gets my vote. I don’t like the sex scenes but overall love the show. Don’t even think about canceling it!
This show was awesome! The western people need right now. It looks like a movie and, with all of these good actors that were introduced I can’t to see how they are developed.
I was dying to see K.C.’s new show “Yellowstone”. Sooo Excited to see the scenery, the wildlife, the beauty… YIKES! It was horrible! The characters were all crazy/mean/sick/tormented….the long shots were short on Yellowstones beauty, the story was ugly, all about power and perversion. I was heartbroken. I always dreamed of moving to the edge of the Yellowstone area…but if that’s what the people are like, I don’t even want to visit anymore! First time K.C. ever let me down… I told all my friends to watch…now they must think I’m nuts!
I have been in the ranching business and have been a proponent of the National Park System for years. We have given more land to the National Park System than many people have. But if you were taken back by this premier you do not have a clue what is going on out there. You’d be better off going to Yellowstone as a visitor. If you move there you would find that there are harsh realities that apparently you do not begin to comphrehend. Go watch Gunsmoke episodes. They were harsh and often quite violent. And they were playing to… Read more »
Did get off to a slow start but I think it has great possibilities. I look forward to the up coming episodes. Hope the network will give it time.
Show was extremely slow leading up to total boring. Foul language, sex, and total lack of anything exciting persuaded me to change channels after first 30 minutes. One Huge costly failure.
I like it, but it needs to be on network TV I had to watch on my computer
It’s like a combination of the old Dallas series mixed with Dances with Wolves and A River Runs Through It – all these elements
i like all of those movies and tv show bob…..if it is a combo of all of them i’ll record the series…..thanks
