Last year, fans didn’t have to worry whether the Younger TV show would be cancelled or renewed on TV Land. The series had already been picked up for a fifth season, well in advance of its premiere. There are no such reassurances, this time around. Still, the romantic comedy is TV Land’s top original, scripted performer, so cancellation seems unlikely, until we remember how the price of TV series increase as they get older. Is this show getting too long in the tooth, in a youth-obsessed industry? Will Younger be cancelled or renewed for season six on TV Land? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A TV Land comedy drama, Younger stars Sutton Foster, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Hilary Duff, Molly Bernard, Peter Hermann, and Charles Michael Davis. The series centers on single mother Liza Miller (Foster) who passes herself off as a 20-something, to land a job in the publishing industry. As Liza’s personal and professional lives mesh, keeping her secret becomes more difficult. While she struggles to keep up appearances, Liza must also wrestle with her conscience, over those relationships built upon a lie.
