The Americans have some new company. Deadline and TVLine report Brett Tucker and Laurie Holden have been cast in season five of the FX series.
Set in the 1980s, the drama follows a married couple who are secretly Soviet spies living in the United States. The cast includes Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys, Noah Emmerich, Holly Taylor, Keidrich Sellati, Annet Mahendru, Alison Wright, and Margo Martindale.
Tucker, who previously starred on Mistresses, will play “Ben Stobert, a charming, intelligent and passionate scientist, whose work goes deeper than it seems.” Meanwhile, Holden has been cast as “Renee, a new woman in town who captures the interest of Stan when they meet at the gym.”
Season five of The Americans is slated to debut in 2017.
