What’s This TV Show About?
A Netflix science fiction drama, Another Life stars Katee Sackhoff, Selma Blair, Tyler Hoechlin, Justin Chatwin, Samuel Anderson, Elizabeth Faith Ludlow, A. J. Rivera, Alexander Eling, Blu Hunt, Alex Ozerov, Jake Abel, JayR Tinaco, Jessica Camacho, Barbara Williams, and Lina Renna. The space opera centers on astronaut Niko Breckinridge (Sackhoff), commander of the Salvare space exploration ship, who leads her young crew on a perilous mission, in search of alien intelligence.
Another Life has been renewed for a second season which will debut on October 14, 2021. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize viewership, it is difficult to predict whether Netflix will cancel or renew Another Life for season two. Sources have told us that, internally, when Netflix decides to renew, they usually do it within a month. That said, we’ve noticed the announcements can take a little bit longer. If the news is good, no news is probably not good news. Until we know either way, I’ll keep an eye on the trades and press releases and update this page with breaking developments. Just watched it …great effects and a good cast but hell most of it was awfully bad,let me qualify that,the script had them doing things that no sane person would do,the science was bloody dumb as heck,the constant switching between scenes on Earth(which i hated) and the ship were unnecessary but i did find it very easy to watch and the final two episodes kinda made up in spades for the previous eight,that saying i recommend it but if your like me you will be screaming WTF did they do that in nearly every episode…
It’s really a bad SciFi show… even worse than SGU, what a disappointment 🙁
Just cancel it, put it out of misery.

This show is the absolute worst Sci-Fi in History !!! Boring, pedantic, obviously no science consultant, terrible acting, plot holes you could fly the Enterprise through, etc… I was looking forward to it because the lead actress was in BSG… big mistake !
And it’s not even “bad in a funny/cute way”, like for example Invasion of the Astro-Zombies or Hines’s War of the Worlds. This new Netflix Original piece of excrement will only attract flies and no cult following, believe me. PLEASE CANCEL immediately… and send the producers & director to a labor camp to reflect on their mistakes.
The Show was Amazing and Very exciting!! I Love the Universe, Space, it took me there. I scrolled and was looking for Season 2 and couldn’t find it, then i googled to find out this page of debating to Re new or cancel. Please bring Season 2, ✨ i cant wait, the Actors all did Great!!!✨
I sure am tired of starting series on Netflix, only for them to end them horribly, just dop them completely or not update series to the end. Like criminal minds. Season 15 finished and they’ve stopped airing it at season 12. I agree, if this was just one more to start and get dropped, done with Netflix.

It’s been too long since we had a good star trek Battlestar galactica type show.
Horribly insipid writing, terrible science, completely unlikeable characters, mediocre effects, ridiculous storylines to the point where they are infuriatingly insulting to the intelligence of all but the lowest lifeforms. Utterly devoid of a single redeemable quality. This is complete and total garbage. DO NOT RENEW. As for the cliffhanger… it doesn’t matter… I wanted every single person to just die by the end anyway.
terrible science ? look their facts up , some of their mentions are cutting edge science theories, just because you dont understand something dont call it dumb.
Not the most original show, but it combines several sifi standard elements well. It shows a lot of potential for growth and I hope we at least get a season 2. Many shows struggle in the first season and come into their own on the second.
Please fpr the love of god make another season. I hate cliff hangers and want to see what happens next. while at it maybe get the ole band together to complete dark matters where sifi left off?
Utter trash with poor productions values and a script covering every overused scifi theme in existence. The show is so cheap they couldn’t give the crew of the spaceship uniforms. Instead they allow the attractive women and hunks to run around in their underwear. Ridiculous. A waste of electrons.

I actually liked the show, is it the best, no but it is entertaining and I would love to see what happens next, I binge watched all episodes in 2 days. It is very intriguing and good at keeping me interested in seeing what will happen next. William is an excellent character and my favorite.
simply amazing. Those with negative comments are just earth bound. I am SDA in religion but this show has got me hooked. anyway the archia should be very afraid of NIKO she is coming for them.
i absolutely hated the guy who played william in doctor who. but he’s great here. sure i hated this show in the first one or two episodes. and when they were about to die from the virus i even went. “yeah kill them all and get a new crew” but that didn’t stop me from watching it. and i do like the show. it just has a bad few first episodes wich is why it is getting all these bad reviews. there are still some issue’s i have with it. some things that i just call ******** on. including the… Read more »
