Last year, NBC moved its Blindspot TV show to Fridays, where it fell even further in the Nielsen ratings — far enough that it is lucky it did not get cancelled. Now that it is back for a fourth season, will it be the final one, or will the Peacock Network keep it around until it hits that 100-episode mark? Will Blindspot be cancelled or renewed for season five? Stay tuned. **Status update below.
An action thriller, Blindspot stars Sullivan Stapleton, Jaimie Alexander, Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza, Ashley Johnson, and Ennis Esmer. After amnesiac “Jane Doe” (Alexander) is found in Times Square, FBI Agent Kurt Weller (Stapleton) and his team work to decipher her intricate tattoos. Despite a web of conspiracy and corruption, they begin to uncover the clues therein, as well as Jane’s identity. As season four kicks off on NBC the FBI team hunts a dangerous enemy operative, and a deadly new foe emerges.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
6/1 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The third season of Blindspot averaged a 0.61 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.261 million viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Blindspot TV series? Should this NBC TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?
**5/10/2019 Status Update: Blindspot has been renewed for a fifth and final season. Details here.
LOVE THE SHOW. TIRED OF MADELINE
The FBI and CIA has seen a lot of movies about FBA and CIA values, but the blind spot is the only one that has shown its value for a long time in its 5 seasons.
The truth is I was not a season fan until I saw my spouse watching blindspot and I watch it with him one night I completely get hook to the show and started to hide the remote from him and I completely took over the show from him blindspot got me so hooked to every season show now and if you take down blindspot you will break my heart and my children’s heart too. Blindspot is the best series show I have watched and I love it so please give us season 5 and many more. Blindspot all the way.
I loved this show in the beginning. But I found that the background music they play drowned out the dialogues making it hard to follow. Hearing it was worse then hearing fingernails scratching down a blackboard causing a BIG distraction. So in most cases, I would switch to a different channel. Too bad, it could have been a great show if it didn’t have that soundtrack
Please keep the show. I work so I have to watch it aftwards. Quit taking the good shows away. Give them a fighting chance. Tired of all the talent shows and would like to see more of this.
I’m with you on this I’m tired of all the talent shows and reality shows
Please keep Blindspot for a 5th season! It’s the most exciting fast passed show on TV. Sick of the talent shows. Come on now, intelligent Americans need to be challenged.
Please don’t take blindspot off.
It’s really gone downhill. Please cancel so a new and possibly better show can get its space on the network.
Please do not take Blindspot down. This is by far one of my favorite shows and I would be devastated if it would happen to get taken down. I look forward to every episode and every season which is why there has to be a season 5. The show is filled with action packed scenes and events, with twists and turns around every corner, which is why the show is so amazing and has to continue with season 5 along with many more.
I loved the character creation and the premise, but this show has gotten so hinky I can’t watch it. I stopped this week’s episode at 31:28 and decided even though I *love* what the writers do with Patterson and Rich.com’s characters I can’t do this to myself anymore. They’ve compromised the series for a bunch of emotional claptrap that just guts the story and quite frankly seems unrealistic. If our FBI runs this way, making emotional decisions instead of fact based ones I pity our country. I just can’t.
Please, renew Blindspot
I love this show and I am so looking forward to season 5. I would be really sad if it got cancelled.
This show has jumped the shark bigtime. I just fast-forwarded through this entire last episode. The acting has actually gotten worse, if that’s possible. Jane in a box is a Kill Bill ripoff, too.
We love the show and all the actors and actresses, I would hate to see the show cancelled, even when we are not around on friday nights we record it. Keep blindspot alive
Started going down hill (for me) in season 3. Now I can’t watch it. A little silliness fine but not stupidity, please. This one is off my watch list.
Don’t worry. With these ratings, it won’t be coming back. They moved off Mondays at 10 pm eastern standard time after season one, and it has never been the same.
Downvoted for speaking the truth.
