Airing after The Voice on Monday nights, The Blacklist became a hit TV show for NBC. The network is hoping that history will repeat itself and Blindspot will also be a ratings success. Will it be a hit or a flop? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned!
On Blindspot, a Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) is found inside a body bag that’s been left in Times Square. It’s marked for the attention of the FBI. Suspecting a bomb, the agents are shocked to see Jane emerge naked and covered with complex tattoos. Having no memory and having no records of her existence, the tattoos provide the only clues as to the woman’s identity. Supervising Agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) is brought in and is shocked to find his name inked on her back. The rest of the cast includes Audrey Esparza, Rob Brown, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Ukweli Roach, and Ashley Johnson.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
11/9 update: NBC has renewed Blindspot for a second season.
5/24 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Blindspot TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Was a good show to start. Acting and writing is horrible. Most are really not interested in the gay and lesbian themes taking over. Stick with the original idea and you keep your audience.
The performance of the actors is almost awful, especially Bethany Mayfair is the least convincing. As far as the show’s depth, I can compare it with Quantico. I will stick with blacklist for my FBI shows.
the loud background music is used to cover up the horribly bad dialogue
I keep trying to “HEAR” this show but apparently the music producers have a lock on it and only want you to hear the so called music. No idea what the characters are saying, although Jane seems a bit dumb as she rarely speaks and then only above a whisper. PLEASE turn down the background thumping, horrendous noise, its not doing your show any good.
I tried the the second season another try, but I just can’t!!!! The storyline is the same week after week. Jane Doe ask the stupidest questions. For example, I don’t understand why she isn’t she answering her phone….like really? Didn’t u just hear what the said. Here’s another why is that building there. She acts like a space cadet…
I like the show but can’t take the background music anymore. It is so loud, I can’t hear the dialogue.
I like the show but can’t stand trying to hear the dialog over the music. Wonder if contacting NBC directly would make any difference.
I’ve tried on Twitter to NBCBlindspot, and also to Jaimie Alexander. Also on their Facebook there are tons of complaints. Not sure why NBC has all the social media if they are just going to ignore it. We stopped watching a couple of weeks ago. Sad because we really like the show, but just can’t handle the overpowering music anymore, especially not being able to hear the dialogue!
The background music is too loud, very irritating, can’t hear the dialogue. Make it stop!
Like others, we won’t be watching anymore because of the excessively loud background music that NBC doesn’t care about with all the complaints on Facebook and Twitter. I’m sure ratings will continue to steadily decline and they won’t be able to figure out why!
Won’t be watching any more episodes because of the annoying background music. It doesn’t have to be on for the entire show!
The background music has become so annoying I can’t watch this series anymore. it’s too loud and it’s NON STOP.
The background music has gotten out of control!! Please turn it down so we can hear the dialogue
I enjoyed the show at first but have become pretty bored with the same things over and over being drug on with no finality to the point where I just delete it from my DVR without watching it. Surprised they would be brave enough to push this to a 2nd season.
I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t care if I see the show or not. I’ve found certain actors mumble their line I don’t know what they are saying. The stories are consistently the same from week to week and have been done before. I might try to watch through the end of the season, but doubt I’ll re-engage for season 2. An interesting concept that was never fully developed to its potential.
Yes, the background music is horrible. Can’t hear the dialogue… It’s like being in a dance club trying to watch a tv show. Good show, but please turn down the f–king music.
I totally agree with you, music too darn loud and the camera work is lousy. It can give one a headache. I guess nobody involved with show watches it
