TV show description:
On this docu-series, viewers “ride along” with the proud men and women of the Boston Emergency Services. They’re one of America’s most seasoned team of first responders and the first step in the chain of trauma care.
This is the same group that answered the desperate calls of runners and spectators when the bombs went off at the Boston Marathon in 2013. Treating the injured and ferrying the wounded to hospitals, the Boston EMS earned the gratitude of a shell-shocked and grief-stricken city with their cool-headed professionalism.
In this series, viewers meet some of the heroes of that terrible day as they answer new calls and respond to a daily dose of trauma and mayhem.
Episode #11
A patient gains a new perspective on life after being shot in the thigh, telling paramedics and EMT’s that he’ll turn his life around to care for his nine-month-old child if he survives.Across town, paramedic Randy Souza shows tough love to a sick patient refusing life-saving medical treatment, persuading him to accept care for the sake of his young children.
Paying close attention to anything that has the potential to be a mass causality incident, Deputy Supt. Ed Hassan races to a school where carbon monoxide alarms are ringing and students report feeling dizzy. (Courtesy ABC.)
First aired: August 27, 2016.
What do you think? Do you like the Boston EMS TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season?
Yes, it should have been renewed. I love all of the EMT/paramedic shows and I miss it.
Is the show cancelled for 2018?? Or is it Renewed?? I can not find any info about the shows future and I love the show so much and it would be so sad to let such a great show go. That would be a big mistake on the channel and I know some other channel will pick up the show. It deal with stuff that us Boston people see everyday and its great that we finally have a show that shows how awesome people can be. SO I am praying that they come up with a new season for the… Read more »
please don’t discontinue it. I enjoy it very much so I say renew it please
Boston EMS is the best show I have seen in a long time. please don’t discontinue it. I enjoy it very much. I’m looking to buy each season on CDs so I can watch whenever I can.
EMS Boston has been a fantastic series. It shows how a major metropolitan city copes with all kinds of crises. I enjoyed it very much and hope it continues again soon.
My wife and I watched every episode on demand and loved it. Please bring back the series.
Recorded and watched every episode. Please do not cancel.
I only learned of Boston ER late in the season, not knowing it was even on. Now that I found it I’m disappointed that it is not on now. Please don’t cancel this program I really enjoyed it.
Thank you
Very good show. It’s real reality TV.
I love the show but am bothered by the fact that the EMS personnel don’t wear seatbelts. I know from experience (over 40 years on a first aid squad) that the safety of the EMT’s is first and foremost.
That’s very common because they often have to jump out quickly. Same with law enforcement
I have been watching Boston EM S since it started two weeks ago. It shows the compassion between the EMS and the hospital personnel in one of the major metropolitan cities in this country. I feel that it should be renewed for another year. It has been one of the best television shows this summer.
I agree with Michelle. I watch many medical reality/docudramas because of the relationship between the caregiver and patient and the outcome of the patient. I especially watch for the effect it has on both parties emotionally and professionally. It’s the relationships, not the medical technique, that gives these shows their interest and humanity. Boston EMS lacks the human element that enriches everyone, especially the viewer.
I like your show, but if you don’t say at the end what happened to the people in the show it is a huge let down. We invest our selfs in the show and are interested in the people on it,and not to find out in the end what happened to them is a huge dissapointment. In the show there was a car roll over and the man was woundering what happened to his female friend,it would of been nice to have said man left hospital that night and his female friend was in hospital and will make a full recovery… Read more »
That is life in EMS. We rarely know what happens to our patients.
