Chicago PD will feature the return of Jon Seda, and the actor spoke about his return to the Intelligence Unit after his time with Chicago Justice, which was cancelled after just one season.
Seda revealed how his character will return to the NBC series in an interview with TV Line. He said the following:
“He comes back as a detective. The Intelligence team is working a case where they’re trying to go after this certain suspect, and they hit a bump where they need to bring someone in that this guy… does not know, and that turns out to be Antonio. He helps them with this case, which leads to his coming back.”
In addition, Seda spoke about returning to the series after the huge cast departure at the end of last season. Sophia Bush left the series. He said the following:
“It’s hard. Antonio misses her. But he has to come back and do his job as best he can. Maybe they will have scenes where she’s calling and talking on the phone or something. I don’t know. Like I said, you really don’t have time to stop and think about it. You’ve just got to move on.”

I love all 3 Chicago shows, I even thought Justice was an awesome show. I really like John Seda, I am so happy that he is coming back to PD, I really wish Sophia was not leaving, she will be sorely missed!! She’s been a tough cookie since the show began. I think the new female cop will be great too, it’s just a hard spot to fill. I know she is not filling Lindsey’s spot but alot of people will still see it that way. I’m excited love the show. I would love to see them put Kim and Adam back together they were my favorite couple.
