NBC cancelled Community after five seasons earlier this month but there’s still hope that fans will still get a sixth season.
Deadline reports that Hulu and Sony Pictures TV are talking about keeping the show going together. The talks are still in the preliminary stages but that’s better than nothing and a deal would make sense for both sides.
Hulu currently has the rights to show the existing episodes and the streaming service’s new CEO, Mike Hopkins, recently said the company plans to greatly expand their offerings of original content.
For their part, Sony has a history of working hard to keep their shows going, often cutting their licensing fees. Their efforts have led to the revivals of shows like Unforgettable and Drop Dead Diva.
What do you think? Do you think that Community should be revived? Do you think it will be?
I LOVE this unique perspective of a crime TV show. I love the cast as well. Please bring it back to the US!
Why bring back a bad, unfunny show.
Its not supposed to be funny, it’s about a murder!! I loved the show, it was neat how they did it.
