The Carringtons and Colbys survive to fight another day. Despite racking up some of The CW’s poorest ratings, the Dynasty TV show reboot has been renewed for a second season. Whether or not they can build up the audience in season two remains to be seen.
A CW soap opera, Dynasty stars Grant Show, Alan Dale, Elizabeth Gillies, Nathalie Kelley, James Mackay, Sam Adegoke, Robert Christopher Riley, Rafael de la Fuente, Brianna Brown, and Nick Wechsler. The drama centers on the wealthy Carrington family and the energy empire they must defend against the Colbys and other adversaries.

The CW issued early renewals for a total of ten shows, today: Arrow, season seven; Black Lightning, season two; Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, season four; DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, season four; Dynasty, season two; The Flash, season five; Jane The Virgin, season five; Riverdale, season three; Supergirl, season four; and Supernatural, season 14. FOR 2018-19 SEASON
Network Gives Early Renewals for Next Season to “Arrow,” “Black Lightning,”
“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “Dynasty,” “The Flash,”
“Jane The Virgin,” “Riverdale,” “Supergirl” and “Supernatural”
April 2, 2018 (Burbank, CA) — The CW Network has given early renewals to ten of its primetime series for the 2018-2019 season, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW.
“As The CW expands to a six-night, Sunday through Friday schedule next season, we are proud to have such a deep bench of great returning series for 2018-19. By picking these ten series up for next season, we have a terrific selection of programming to choose from when we set our fall schedule in May, with more still to come,” said Pedowitz. “And I’m especially happy that we’ll continue to work with the incredibly talented casts, producers, and writers who create the series our fans are so passionate about.”
The series being ordered for the 2018-2019 season include second seasons of the electrifying freshman hit BLACK LIGHTNING and DYNASTY, which recently saw the debut of Nicollette Sheridan as Alexis Carrington, as well as new seasons of ARROW (Season 7), CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND (Season 4), DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW (Season 4), THE FLASH (Season 5), JANE THE VIRGIN (Season 5), RIVERDALE (Season 3), SUPERGIRL (Season 4), and SUPERNATURAL (Season 14). Specific premiere dates for each series will be announced at a later time.
The CW also recently announced it would expand its primetime schedule to six nights, Sunday-Friday (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT), beginning in October 2018.

At first, I was not a fan of the many differences between the Original Dynasty & the now Reboot. However, I’m now hooked! Bring back Heather Locklear and others in different roles! It would be a hoot!

I’m anxiously awaiting season 2 I live in the Caribbean Trinidad & Tobago to be exact so hurry please Netflix. I love this show this I’d my husband’s & I Saturday morning routine to sit & watch Dynasty at 8.00 a.m

Love this show. Wish it would show all year round. I hope the Carringtons overcome all the obstacles. Definitely should renew for another season and another after that.
Love this show. I watched the old Dynasty and it was good but this new Dynasty is a breath of fresh air.
Omg I absolutely love this show. I love all the crazy drama. There was not a episode that I didn’t lol to. There r show many different show out there but not one like this one so please don’t take it way. Some of us like a change when it comes to these kinda shows. I love all the actors and actresses.
Everybody I know,watches this show and loves it, especially after they adjusted to the political correctness changes for 2017. I watch it thru cw app Roku, spectrum cable, cw 4 over air, and YouTube. So where are they getting ratings or viewer count??? I don’t see how they could possibly know the audience count.
