Elementary is getting ready to wrap up its fourth season on CBS, and fans will see a fifth season next fall. There is new casting news for the series, and a professor with a connection to Jamie Moriarty will play a role in the drama for the final two episodes.
According to TV Line, Tony Curran, who was last seen on Defiance, will first appear on the May 1 episode of the series as “Joshua Vikner, an economics professor who has more than an academic interest in the villainess. Professor Vikner has much to teach Sherlock and his father, Morland, about the past, in addition to playing a large role in their future.”
Moriarty, played by Natalie Dormer, has not popped up on the series lately, but that could change next season if this casting is any indication of where the series is headed for season five.

Enjoy the program, new charactors are always welcome. Wish they could incorporate abit of kung-fu every now and then ( featuring Joan Watson) just to show that she can look after herself, Holmes needs more disguises like in the books. There’s still lots of avenues to explore with these top actors.
Best show on TV. Jonny Lee Miller is superb as Sherlock Holmes. Aidan Quinn is a great actor and should have more scenes.
