Furniss is on the path to become a series on AMC, and the network recently opened a writers room for the series. The pilot script was written by Macon Blair. Kyle Killen, the creator of Awake, has been tapped as showrunner for this series.
Deadline revealed the following about the potential AMC drama:
“Killen serves as showrunner on the show, about a teenage orphan’s new life with her birth father and his family, complicated by her connection to secret supernatural events in their rural town.”
