God Friended Me was recently cancelled by CBS, and now the cast is reacting to the move by the network. Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane and others on the cast spoke about the series ending on social media.
Per TV Line, Hall revealed the following about the cancellation of God Friended Me:
“There’s something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people who you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I’m not going to be able to… work with them [every day].”

Why the cancellation? An up-lifting show with good characters and great message. Very upset that it will not be returning.
This is a great show, please reconsider canceling! There’s so much crap on tv, this is a show that shares everyday struggles and ways of working through things whether good, bad, stressed and regardless, things always work out for the best. The cast is fantastic! Please?!
I’m echoing what others have said, but this show was both unique and refreshing. Not some other stupid police procedural, but much better, with characters and heart. Also, obviously, a clever take on the good uses of social media. Very sad to have such a rich future of possible character and plot developments cut short.
Why? The cast have a great chemistry and the theme unique. I suppose the Christian tone is too much for Hollywood. One of the few shows I watch on TV.

Yes this is horrible at a time like this is when we need God in our lives. Please think long and hard about this and bring them back.

Cast and crew did a great job! Only complaint is that I was extremely dissatisfied the writer’s and/or network decision to create a gay relationship and gay person. That spoils the entire message and show.
