Can these kids keep you laughing in the first season of the Kids Say the Darndest Things TV show on ABC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Kids Say the Darndest Things is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. An ABC improv/sketch comedy series, Kids Say the Darndest Things is based on the CBS program that was hosted by comic Bill Cosby (1998-2000). That series was based on a feature of Art Linkletter’s House Party radio show (1945-67) and the television program that followed, Art Linkletter’s House Party (1952-69). In the reimagined format, in-studio segments and taped pieces from across the country are played out in front of a live studio audience. Host Tiffany Haddish interacts with real kids who often have their own innocently entertaining points of view. Each episode includes several different segments with children with diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives.

Terrible show, terrible host. I don’t like the format either allover.
I love the show and Tiffany Haddish works very well with the kids. What I think is unnecessary is the stand up comedy routine in the beginning of the show. But all in all, I like the show and the chemistry Tiffany has with the kids, so I would hope it returns next season.
Mostly about the host little to do with children. I have no idea who she is so no I’m not against her. But if your going to call a show kids say the darndest things it should have at least 75-80% of the program about the title of the program.
The kids are very funny, making for a show. Get over your negativity about Haddish. Your bias is obvious to even the most casual observer.
Disappointing. Art Linkletter was about the kids. She is about herself. Cancel this show asap.
Terrible format. Very disappointed with this show. Won’t be watching again. Definitely not all about the kids as Art Linkletter was. Just awful.

I agree, that the show was mostly about Tiffany Haddish and NOT the kids.
Need a new host, she is no Art Linkletter. The show is about the kids, not her. I was disappointed.

The kids are great, kick the hostess to the curb, they couldn’t have found anyone more irritating
Awful. It’s all about the host. Kids are there only as a background for her. Cancel this show. Bring on host who focuses on kids not herself.
