After one abbreviated season, it doesn’t look good for NBC’s Knight Rider. The series hasn’t gotten many positive reviews and its ratings haven’t exactly been stellar either. Still, the show does have a group of very devoted fans who look forward to watching the show each week.
It’s looking very unlikely that Knight Rider will be back for another season. And, because the show’s episode order was cut suddenly, we won’t get to see Michael Knight return or even get a true series finale. At the very least, shouldn’t fans be given one final adventure to wrap things up — in a few more episodes or a TV movie?
If you’d like the adventures of Mike and KITT to continue, let the network know. Tell your friends and family members to tune in and watch on NBC. If that’s not possible, encourage them to watch online. Maybe one of them is secretly a “Nielsen family” or knows one.
Write to NBC. Let the network know how you feel but, keep it civil. Everyone responds best to courtesy.
Sign the petition below and let the NBC execs know you’ve signed it. Spread the word and ask others to do the same. But hurry, for Mike and KITT, it’s almost the end of the road.
To: Dutch Oven Productions, Gary Scott Thompson Productions, Universal Media Studios, and NBC
We, the undersigned, have faithfully watched Knight Rider on NBC. The series is consistently entertaining — full of high-tech action and adventure. We would miss Mike and KITT if they weren’t on the air.
We ask that you please renew Knight Rider for a second season, either on NBC or another channel. If that’s not possible, at the very least, please give viewers some resolution to the show’s ongoing storylines — either in some additional episodes or in a TV movie. We have been loyal to the series and ask you to be loyal in return.
Thank you for your consideration.
