What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Netflix television network, Lost in Space is a remake of the 1965 Irwin Allen classic TV series and stars Parker Posey, Molly Parker, Toby Stephens, Taylor Russell, Mina Sundwall, Maxwell Jenkins, Ignacio Serricchio, Brian Steele, and Sibongile Mlambo. The sci-fi drama centers on space colonists John (Stephens) and Maureen (Parker) Robinson, their children, Judy (Russell), Penny (Sundwall), and Will (Jenkins), good-hearted smuggler Don West (Serricchio), and stowaway Dr. Smith (Posey). When their Jupiter 2 spaceship veers lightyears off course, they crash-land on an unknown planet. Surrounded by hidden dangers, they meet Robot (Steele) and fight against all odds to survive and escape.

Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize viewership, it is difficult to predict whether Netflix will cancel or renew Lost in Space for season three. Since Netflix isn’t ad-supported, it can take a chance on series it believes in. However, sooner or later it comes down to production costs, versus viewership numbers. Lost in Space is one of their high-profile series but it’s concerning that there was a 20-month gap between seasons one and two. I’m still leaning toward a renewal but wouldn’t be surprised if it was cancelled instead. Generally speaking, Netflix TV shows which are going to be renewed are usually picked up within a month or so of a season premiere. I’ll keep my ears open and an eye out for news, and will update this page with breaking developments. Subscribe for free alerts on Lost in Space cancellation or renewal news.

Love lost in space!!! My wife and I saw entire 2nd season in 2 days.definitely have to bring back for season 3!!!!
Overall the show is mildly entertaining and the visuals are stunning. Too bad the writing is so weak. Some of the characters are really annoying. Stuff happens for no good reason. Characters actively do stupid things to get themselves in trouble, especially Jade who is then praised for it. This maybe be an ok family drama but is a very weak scifi. I would rather it be cancelled.

This is at the least an 8 season series. I was going crazy waiting for season 2 After having such a great season 2 just to cancel would in my opinion be unforgivable. This show is a hit! Just couldn’t stop myself from running through the episodes too fast. FIND A WAY TO KEEP IT GOING. You have already lost some great shows. Break that trend! I want to have faith in Netflix.
Great show do not cancel. Could be Netflix greatest show series. Wonderful scripts. Great adventure for all family members. Kudos on keeping it family friendly.
Renew, excellent show. I believe it has potential to be one of the best shows Netflix has taken on. Do right by the fans. Good story line.

We need a season 3 of lost in space. My husband and I watched all 10 episodes of season 2 in two evenings! Excellent show, storyline, cast….everything! We loved it and can’t wait for it to be continued….please and thank you!!!!!!
The drama is very family oriented. Quite gripping for the first 3 chapters so far its great, but each episode is quite short-about 41-44 minutes. There’s only 10 episodes so it goes real fast. The family watched the first season and 3 of the second in one sitting on Tuesday. We’ll probably finish the 2 Nd season this weekend. Third year would be good in having this Dr Smith change his ways and fall for Don and become a part of the team, as she was when steering the Jupiter 2 through the water while sailing. Following a fairly well written 1st series, this 2nd series was all over the place. Plot holes were everywhere. The story was at times hard to follow and towards the latter episodes I was unsure they were in the right order! So they left us with several cliff hangers which is unacceptable if the series is likely to be cancelled.
You really have to pay attention. This season is so plot rich and multi arched. Binging doesn’t help, you miss stuff. Rewatch it and all will become clear I promise. this season was incredible.
