What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling. The supernatural procedural centers on Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis) who abandoned his throne, retired to Los Angeles, opened up a nightclub, and started helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (German) crack cases. Now with his mother (Helfer) taken care of, in season three, Lucifer wants to figure out who kidnapped him and why his angel wings have returned. He also has to deal with a new rival for Chloe’s attention, Lieutenant Marcus Pierce (Welling), who, unlike Lucifer, is strategic, reserved, and well-respected.
Season Three Ratings
The third season of Lucifer averaged a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.30 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 20% and down by 10%, respectively. Find out how Lucifer stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.
Lucifer was cancelled by FOX, but was later picked up for season four by Netflix. Season four debuts May 8, 2019. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Although it premiered with okay numbers, the ratings for Lucifer are even lower than last year’s (and those weren’t very good). I suspect it will be back for a fourth season but it could easily be cancelled due to the low ratings. For now, I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsens and update this page with breaking developments. My family LOVES Lucifer. I think people get too hung up on the ‘devil’ thing and please get Luci and the detective together already… hence might be the reason for the lower ratings we are tired of being strung out already.
And YES, we would pay for this.
This is a great show for NON-Christians and you had to know that you were going to cut off half your fan base on the premise alone. Come on Fox, own your mistakes and then give this show the credit that it deserves.
Lucifer is the ONLY reason I bought Hulu. This is a show I will spend money for. Much of season 3 was a disappointment; but I love the characters, and that awesome last episode made me want to see a season 4 in the worst way! PLEASE RENEW!!!
I look forward to more episodes and sincerely hope FOX gives this series another season. Should this series not make the final cut, I will be forced to look for the books and finish the series myself. I have not missed one episode and I think overall this is a great show.

I hope that Lucifer gets a forth season, I’ve really enjoyed this show watching it on Amazon. It would be a shame if it was cancelled.
I hope they do not end this fun entertaining show, I been a fan since episode one season one. I hope it has another couple of years to go!!!

I love Lucifer I’ve watched all the series and I look forward to it every week. It would be great to see it renewed. If it was advertised a bit more I know that lots of people would love it too x
I do hope that it is renewed for a 4th series though I do feel that they have slipped away from the edgier, darker beginnings to what has become more or less, a sociopath, more human than devil! It needs to return to its original routes with some horror, since if you didn’t already know the premise, it wouldn’t be blatantly obvious I don’t think that he was the prince of darkness !!

It would be ludicrous to have brought it so far with such a great storyline by not finishing the story !
